If the answer is (1), let the thief realise that he was discovered, the old man could just tell the old woman

(2) is more logical since the old man intentionally said that there was no thief to give the thief a second chance

So far, Chinese Oral and LC were tougher than English…hmmmm…what does that mean? We can expect Chinese written papers to be tougher than English written papers? Oh my goodness! Chinese is a weakness for many students.

I hope 2 is correct too...my dd wrote 2 too and she said she checked with the top two girls in Chinese in her school and they wrote 2 too.

For CL LC qns 10, the old man did mention that he WOKE UP FOR A WHILE, but did not find any thieves. However, option 2 is NOT to give the thief a second chance, but to tell the thief that stealing is wrong.

Why the ans for last question for english is 3 not 1

For question 10, the old man took the theif shirt cause he did not want him to steal the rice, cause he wanted to use the shirt to wrap the rice. The old man wanted to stop him from stealing and tell him that it is wrong. Or at least that is what I thought.
