Last time when the Indian neighbour downstairs at my parents' place cooks curry, all of us will be at the kitchen window savouring the smell and hoping they will bring up a bowl to offer to us. haha. Like yiao gui.


But those were the times when neighbours will cook and share their goodies.

Sometimes I do wonder how my ang moh neighbours feel when we eat durian. Haha.

My immediate neighbour just shifted out over the weekend. Wonder if it is because of my balachan frying.

Too bad loh, I can do without finicky neighbours but cannot do without my sambal balachan.


The one that moved out is local chinese woh. But looking at them, think they are the kind who steam everything.

I don't cook balachan but I roast pork very often the smell can travel far too... :evil:


I have a neighbor who slams their doors and windows when my kids have tantrums... but when they quarrel (like every other day), other neighbors call in the police!! :skeptical:

now that they start having grandchildren... they stop all the 'slamming' n tell me my kids very 'kuai'
