Please remember to ask your neighbours whether they will be at home before you cook your favourite dish - Curry....hahaha....

Rather intolerant. I didn't believe it when I read that the mediator told the Indian family to only cook curry when their Chinese neighbours weren't around.

My neighbour is from India too and they cook curries and burn incense (not sure what it is exactly) too. But in the name of neighbourliness, we live with it. I'm sure they find the sambal etc that our Chinese neighbours cook quite intolerable too. But it's all part of living at close quarters.

Last time when the Indian neighbour downstairs at my parents' place cooks curry, all of us will be at the kitchen window savouring the smell and hoping they will bring up a bowl to offer to us. haha. Like yiao gui.

But those were the times when neighbours will cook and share their goodies.

Sometimes I do wonder how my ang moh neighbours feel when we eat durian. Haha.

My immediate neighbour just shifted out over the weekend. Wonder if it is because of my balachan frying. 😆

Funz .....i once cook \"salted fish\" in a close door kitchen,
my ang moh housemate came in and told me what is that smelly sock
you cooking........balachan....double confirmed scared them away big time !! :rotflmao:

How To Get Rid of neighbours 101: Cook belachan, Eat durian, Fry salted fish...

:scared: wow, if it is the 正宗臭豆腐, better move house. once the smell gets onto your clothes, hair, curtains, fabric furnitures, your house, it stays for a long long long time.

if it is the 改良版,not smelly then okay.

              both are very tasty
