        Hello Parents,

I am looking for a Student care centre in Tampines for my children. They are P5 and P1 next year. We are moving to Simei and children will be attending St. Hilda’s. Would appreciate any recommendations.

Not too concern with tuition programs as children are doing okay academically. Looking for a kind and nurturing environment. If there are any centres that pays more attention to character/moral development, I don’t mind the higher fees or even if it means traveling a longer distance to eg. Bedok or even Pasir Ris. Thanks in advance.

Hi Snowbell, some nearby student care centers are already full and not taking any more children due to Poi Ching will be single session next year. You could use the link below to look for all the nearby student cares and start calling them to check and visit them if possible.

                        Dear Mummies & Daddies

I’ve had a bad experience with this student care in TAMPINES St. 83 "A_______ Academy". To begin with, my child is attending pri 1 this year and his pri sch is not in Tampines . On the 1st day of sch , they have totally forgotten abt picking up my child when the sch bus came, luckily I myself was there waiting. Rather den apologizing for their mistake , the teacher in charge instructed me that I shld have given thm the bus drivers contact and they requested the driver to call before they reach. I have given them the arrival time of the bus ,they could have been there waiting. As a parent ,I will not encourage drivers to calling every parent or sch care before they reach don’t u think its rather dangerous. I felt that the student care had too much of an intake and they do not have enough teachers to help out. As my child was the only one fr that particular pri. Sch therefore its different for kids who came in a grp. If no one is to pick him up, I really think it’s very dangerous. On the third of sch , my hubby was approached by the principal and he told him that he couldnt take in my child as he’s mischievous and he didn’t want to do his homework in the afternoon . On the fourth day, the teacher in charge called me and say my son was rough with another student there. We had a talk and we found out that I wasn’t the whole truth, it was the other child who hit my child first. I mean as parent we know this things happens and it wasnt a violent issue that someone was injured. It was jus some pushing here and there. I’m utterly disappointed with this student care , they jus gave me an impression they just want to have easy to take care children.

So parents , if you child is a little mischievous like mine … U might wana re consider .
