Niece took the course with them for 6 months, no improvement. =( could it be the different branches? cause my colleague’s son improved slightly over 5 months of course.

Hi KaisuSerene. just to share: MS will award an iPad mini or cash equivalent to each of their students with 270 and above. They have approx 70 students with t-score 270 and above.KiasuSerene:
Hi has anyone kids aware that PSLE score 260 and above can get an iPad from Alvin, the founder of Mindstretcher?
Yes, DS did hear this but he said the score is 270 and above. Apparently, this promise was kept for last year's pupils - according to MS teacher. Wonder whether the promise will be fulfilled for this year's batch....considering that lots of tuition centers will not be using the students' t-score as advertising tool. Staff at MS were clueless about this when they asked about my DS t-score. -

Almost all tuition centers use their students’ grades as a form of advertisement, but this is the only one I know that gives something back to the student as a form of encouragement. DS is very appreciative and happy about it.

Frankly, I don't like that  Recently I came across a thread recommending a certain tuition centre (sorry, don't want to mention names) and so went to their website to check it out. What greeted me was a list of students' full names, their schools, their original grades and now the latest grades after attending their tuition. I wonder if these centres asked the parents/students for permission before divulging personal info online? Incidentally, I also came across an assessment book written by a tutor at XYZ centre which published names of its students, schools and 'O' level results plus photos in its first few pages. Not that we don't want to give credit if credit is due (we can appreciate in other ways like giving referrals..) but it is not a nice feeling to have our DC used as marketing tools. -
Parents have no obligation to disclose their kids' school or psle results to tuition centers. Just don't disclose if don't want to be used as free advertisement.
Probably that's why Mindstretcher offer incentive  -

All we can do is let them know we do not allow them to use our kids results for advertisement (be it free or paid). -
There is a clause in Mindstretcher terms and conditions that allows them to use students for advertisement. Just don’t disclose result if don’t want to be used as advertisement. Doubt they can force students to disclose anyway
