Cheer up kids. If majority of the pupils feel that the Maths paper is difficult and if the cohort generally didn't do well in this subject, the T-score will not b very much affected. Juz hope for the best. šŸ˜„

Oh dear! I haven't got the opportunity to ask my son how he found the paper as he's now having Chinese tuition at the studentcare centre. šŸ™

My daughter said the paper is not easy too. Said she's only left with 10mins to check. Much harder than NYPS' Maths exam paper! Some of her schoolmates cried after the paper. 😢

I can feel their frustations, anger, disappointment. After months of preparations and revision, it is still not enough to concur paper. Perhaps the teachers need to reflect too, is there missing skills which is not impart to the students šŸ˜ž

My boy says its the paper 2 problem sums that is difficult. Abt 2-3 qns not certain. He sounds very disappointed. 😢

one geometry question and one ratio question. Maybe the speed question as well.

Mine also said paper not easy. Confirm minus 7 marks. 4 marks gone because a student beside him yawned...and distracted him.

                    😢

He's disappointed but life has to move on. Maths is his best subject. In fact, he was so confident that he didn't even revise and was in bed by 9:30pm yesterday.

A friend of his minus 12 marks coz can't complete.

                    2 down..3 to go.

Well, I guess it's not so much whether there are missing skills not imparted but the kind of pressure the kids are in. To do the paper 2 with 13 problem sums & 5 open-ended qns within 1 hr 40 mins (including checking time) is not easy. You must be able to understand the qns fast & think of the appropriate soln fast as well. I juz don't understand why the kids need to be put into such stress. MOE shld revise the format of the paper & reduce the no. of qns. so that the kids can apply their knowledge at a comfortable pace. I believe many adults can't even finish the paper in time. Poor kids. Are they challenging with time or their knowledge???

My son said the paper is 2 times harder than his Prelim but he managed to complete all; some cant get correct answers but showed methods; hope to earn some marks. Looks like this paper is generally difficult for most 😢
