Haha!

My kid can get al the paper 2 questions correct but make careless mistake on multiple choice.
How to 'cure'?
btw, what's the answer for that question?
Thank you.
(Sam's score - Nicky's score)/Nicky's score x 100%

= (85%-80%)/80% x 100%

= 6.25%

cheers.

Hi

The two shaded areas are of different sizes.

The lower square is 1/4 of ABCD.

Divide the top square into 4 equal triangles.

The top square is 4/18 or 2/9 of ABCD.

Fraction of ABCD which is shaded ------ 1/4 + 2/9 ------ 17/36

Best wishes

This is Rosyth 2012 ca1 q14. No ans provided.

my attempt

Total money 28 x 3 x $0.50 = $42

J - u
R - u u u u
M - u u u u $7

1u = ($42 - $5)/9 = 35/9
M-J = 3u +$7 = (3 x 35/9) + $7 = $18 2/3
As no guided answer was provided, my son got his answer: $17.50 .
what’s the correct answer?
I also got the answer $18 2/3.
What is the correct answer?
Thank you.

Pay attention to the product of the diagonals and see the pattern.

The answer is 30c.
