So you planning not to bathe and wash hands with boiled water only?
hate confinement food.
smmre hb not around.
nw thinking of what to do to occupy the 30days. -
terry:
I used the Chinese herbal water to baths. For me I find that I need to use boiled water to wash my hands. My 2nd confinement I didn't and my hands became very stiff. My 3rd and last one, I used and no problems with my hands.

Terry, I think chasing chickens and swimming in the rivers are very exciting activities. Very fun. I'm sure you have happy memories of your childhood right? Kids should enjoy your childhood. Let them have a memorable and joyous childhood!
Actually, there are a lot of fun things kids can do that are memorable, bond the family and yet learn at the same time too!
I can think of a lot of things that can be learnt while chasing chickens and swimming in the rivers!

I remember playing in those huge drains... Canals... Scooping up tadpoles and BBQ-ing them over fire on a stick. We were tasked to rake the leaves to one corner to burn. I remember burning more than just dried leaves...intentionally... out of sheer curiosity. I remember being chased by the neighbors whose homes I almost burnt down. :siam: Playing rounders with a wooden plank without thinking whether we'd get blisters or whether there were splinters in the planks. The tennis ball would make banging sounds on everybody's wooden windows n no one screamed anything blasphemous. We were kids out of their (parents) hair doing our own stuff.
We'd go walk right in with our friends to their homes to get water to drink during breaks. We even shared cups; one cup with a few frenz with our salty sweat and wet lips. What hfmd? We played in the rain too. No fever leh..
Alamak, now look what u hv done... :slapshead: ...gettin' me all nostalgic. -

i juz leave the whole string of eggs in the sun and watch them dry up..y nv tot of bbq?
those were the gd old days. feel like eating coconut, papaya, rambutan etc, juz go neighbour's hse to pluck..free,dun have to pay.
i oso rem playing in the rain..nv fall sick leh. nw i oso let ds do the same. i see no harm. i like to see him get all scruffy and dirty, like a kampong boy. reminds me of huckleberry finn(correct spelling :? )kabalevsky:
chase chickens my fave. cos the mother hen will protect her chicks by chasing and pecking me..then we play catching. i catch the chicks and she will be so trumatised..i miss..Terry, I think chasing chickens and swimming in the rivers are very exciting activities. my hb dun do hsework. im happy if he doesnt make mre mess for me to clean. initially, he wun even bring his plate to the kitchen after meals.juz leave on the table for me to clear. i do once, twice, then fedup. i told him,im also working same job as you(last time). if u tired, im also tired. juz bcos im woman,i gotta do hsework? the world is unfair, so in my world, im gg to make it fair. if ur mum or ex-gf treated u like king, then itz gg to chg..
Actually, i think you are a tai-tai. But will wait for more juicy details. :rubhands:terry:
i oso cannot cook. i love to watch cooking shows, they make it look so damn easy! i love jamie oliver and nigella's kitchen. i have many cookbooks, always telling myself..one day..
smtimes, i really did make it to the supermarket to buy ingredients with a list. then will always fail to find a certain ingredient/herb or whatever, then will gv up, complain say singapore cannot make it, always no fresh ingredients like in Australia..so hw to be like jamie oliver!?
my mum used to cook frm stratch,eg assam fish. but nw she oso play cheat, will buy pre package sauces n stock. itz quite convenient actually..once a while i shop in NTUC and realise wah! so many food nw comes pre package..i can oso cook like chef! but i do worry abt the MSG content tho.
last time when ds was starting solids, i very hardworking will cook for him only. Follow recipe books like annabel karmel. but my sis always look at the food and say look so yucky, pity my ds must eat wat i cook.
aw, the gist is i CANNOT cook well enough for my hb to depend on me 3meals aday. i make my mum teach the maid hw to cook simple dish. so nw maid will cook for ds and me. when my hb ard we usually eat out to gv me a break frm maid's cooking.
buds is asking me what i do evday...i very shy to say leh  ,sure kena stone here. Btw, im NOT a tai tai ok? i do my fair share of hsework even with maid. im juz very blessed in many ways. i will share next time.
But seriously tho, you are already blessed in many different ways from how i see it in this just one post.
Pssst.. by the way.. i cook mostly from scratch.
he noes his ds is hard to handle..very active and time consuming to teach. he also noe b4 we got married tat im not the hsewife type to cook, clean and jaga kids. i din want kids cos i noe he's not the family type. he persuaded me and when itz edvident nothg will chg.i told him i cant do it without his help and if he dun wanna do his fair share then get me some help. all these yrs, i alrdy think thru..it doesnt make sense for him to splurge and for me to tolerate/save for him..like making life miserable for myself. wat for?
he's got a gd life,so did i b4 i married and quit to have kids. dun get me wrong, im not born rich. i worked hard to earn my own $. nw i juz wanna concentrate on my kids and not slog like ahorse,no time with my bbs..really no time for them and makes me feel so lousy. i wanna make up for lost time. so nw i really spend my time with my ds,i missed 3 precious yrs of his life doing smthg i detest. i wanted to escape into my son's world, juz the 2 of us, to get to noe him like a mother shd. im so sick of all the politics and backstabbing in the working world. with my child, evthg is so pure and innocent. black and white ,no grey shades in between.
so tats the trade off with my hb..u not ard, then employ maid to help so i can spend time with my boy. tatz all i ask frm him.
in tat way, im blessed with a hb who understands my way of thinking. maybe other man will think of me as selfish or tyrant. he accepts me as i am. :imanangel:
as for maid,im also blessed with sm1 patient. not fantastic, not gd, juz patient with my son. she's with me for 3yrs, so she noes my son's routine and she recently extended another yr, so i can focuse on my NB.
alot of thgs i really close 2 eyes. no pt getting worked up..
so far im still adjusting to life as a sahm.. :xedfingers: and its great to read abt others in this thread..abit like watching reality tv. -
Err I dun think SPCA was established yet. :scared:
