      LOLMum:

i am on the lookout for some1 to cook my daily dinner. simple dishes and probably just 3 or 4 hours at most.

but i am unsure of the pay. looking at the papers today, a cook at a childcare centre is paid $800. also a office tea lady and sales assistant (not shopping mall) is about $700. all work long hours. so just couldnt decide what should the pay be.

am thinking of checking at cdc center since the center would be matching jobs for the jobless.

Do you think hiring those part-time cleaning aunties will help? Can tell them to include cooking (maybe they will charge for extra 2 hours). So it's about $25 per cooking job. 4 days a week of cooking = $100, one month = $400. Like not very worth it hor?

No wonder pple just hire full-time foreign maids at $500 per month.

Don't understand how this works - they buy the groceries, cook and bring to your place, or you expect them to go to your place and just cook what you have bought? Suggest you look for someone very nearby your place so that the person will find it not too cumbersome to have to travel for the job, yet an incentive to earn some pocket money.

I checked out glory cleaning services recently and found the services available but expensive. You may like to check with them then make your own judgement call.

Tried tingkat…whole family pui except me…cos’ less work so lower expectation mah. Since whole family soooo against, no choice took the task back.

But I started to cut down to only 2-3 home-cooked dinner a week (1 soup + 2-3 dish).
Sometimes when I really really xianz…I’ll just cook a soup + 1 dish & pack dishes like 排骨王, 三蛋菜 from zhi-char stall.

The idea of getting someone to cook ~2 dinners a week is good. Better still if cook at their house and bring over…but also means need to be nearby. I can collect too. Sure beat all the washing/cleaning etc.

No need license to cook and bring over? But if the person don't stay nearby, then can earn how much by travel to and fro, minus off the transport fare etc.

              sleepy:
I find it quite impossible to work even though I do have free time.

I need to make 4 to 5 trips each day. Early morning send dd1 to school, noon time send dd2 to school, mid afternoon pick dd1 up, evening pick dd2 up. if got tuition that afternoon, another extra trip. So sleepy to wake up so early & I need to take a nap while no one is at home otherwise I will too sleepy to drive in mid afternoon. And squeeze in marketing in morning while dd2 is still sleeping. On top of that, cooking and laundry.

I feel lethagic all the time. Can't even drag myself to exercise even though I do have quite a few empty slots when both kids are not at home. Seriously need to increase my energy level first
Sleepy arh.. like i tell all my other frenz..
              All these are excuuuuuzzzes. 😆

              :siam:

I have 3 children.. also in out kinda schedule.. also coach them in their wok & revision.. cook clean wash iron.. work PT from home (freelance, so on & off when there are assignments).. but i can find time to exercise and i bring my children out for exercise/play as well.

One running and very active kid already tired me out. Constantly chasing up and down. :siam: We even run home from school. Maybe also consider \"exercise\". 😂

Am SAHM since my 2nd one turn two years old. Cos nanny is going oversea so not able to look after anymore, and personally I don't like the idea of child care thus the decision was made.

Feel the 24hr time spent with gal is worthwhile, either playing, watch TV or doing coloring etc are very fulfilling rather than just be with her for a few hours after work.

                  Just my personal opinion. 😄
