Yes it is.. :please: Date confirmed already. We're meeting up within the next couple of hours. Adult time for ourselves are as important other than to improve adult vocabulary beyond nursery rhymes and primary school education system, it can be time to chillax and get back in touch with the person in you.. the person you represent... not just the wife, the mommy or the most common one... the maid.. go out for downtime.. rediscover yourself (how fun you used to be) cos if we're relaxed and happy, the same emotions transcend to the rest of the family. If time can be used to catch up with ol frenz or even family or other SAHMs.. go for it. It helps take mind AND body off the house and kiddies once in awhile.

Some SAHMs (myself included) have a phase where we recluse into our shell after a while and find that hey being alone is kinda nice as well and we can get lazy to communicate with people and the outside world in general (outside the home). I recall giving excuses that i was tired.. i was busy.. cudn find time.. or just don't feel like going when i was invited to places. It was like i pushed social life away and was just comfortable being alone or being at home or just contented being with the kids.

After i found my balance over the years... i got many SAHMs out of their pigeon holes and while half now enjoy the same balance the other half will go \"Err... i'm not good with grps.. i'm shy.. i dunno if i can.. it's too far..\" ....... and the irony is, they are the ones who always complain they don't have a social life. :skeptical:

My counter, \"We can do just our own date first before attempting double dates and so on..\"

\"I'm not shy.. so..\" - buds can get anyone to open up.

\"That does not mean you can't.\"

\"Too far? Never mind, i go Tiong Bahru and meet you (i'm in Woodlands).\"

Hope the rest of the SAHMs have a great week ahead. :grphug:

My son hopes his future wife will be a SAHM...to be there for the kids at all times...we share secrets, play Wii when he is stressed (but quickly keep up consoles before daddy returns home). Oh yes, order in pizza hut and KFC for lunch.

I hope my kids won't be SAHMs like me. Go earn the big fat paycheck that I missed out!

Although they probably would like to be one considering that they can see how much I am enjoying myself most of the times. They said I am the big boss of the house πŸ˜‰
