Agree. Flowers are not practical but.... They do brighten up the home and lighten the mood. I's nice to walk amongst the flowers at the wholesaler to choose my bunch to bring home.

I also wear tshirts that are more than 10 years old. I wear them at home. Comfy.

He upgraded his iPhone 4S to Nokia Lumia 920. He upgraded mine to iPhone 5 as I wasn't interested in Nokia Lumia.

I'm using the older model Nokia Lumia 900. I prefer this windows phone over iphone. Much easier to use le. My iphone4 pass to my dd1

Now I don't think I can revert to days without smart phones anymore. So addictive!

I can viber my best friend everyday. We used to blow 300 sms quota on each other every month. Viber is free (whatapps not free for iphone) and can send pics too. So good. Now with windows phone, we switch to communicating on whatapps (free for windows phone).

I don't use iphone to surf though, screen too tiny for me. Two of my friends complained eye sight deteriorate after watching drama on their iphones. I use internet sharing on my smart phone to connect to samsung galaxy tab & then read manga while waiting for kids. Galaxy tab's screen is much bigger.

My existing Nokia windows phone screen also bigger than iphone so sometimes I do use it to surf when outside & without my galaxy tab. At least no need to strain my eyes that much unlike surfing using iphone

I found my clothes lasted longer when I was working than now as a SAHM. When working, I had work clothes and home clothes, and each set was worn fewer hours. Now I have basically 1 set of clothes and they are worn all day, every day, and to do housework and cooking, so they wear out faster, I think. Still, I do have several items that are many years old. The oldest item I have is a thin jumper which was my mother's when I was born, nearly 50 yrs ago. They haven't been worn every year as we lived most of my growing-up years in Singapore, but they have been worn off and on over the last 3 decades, a few months each year - a real testimony to their quality! My daughters are wearing some of my old T-shirts which date back to my teens (30+ yrs ago). I'm in the process of throwing away a lot of stuff as we are returning to Singapore, so the average age of my wardrobe is decreasing. I will also have to buy some working wear eventually as I intend to return to the workforce. I actually hate shopping, so I'm not looking forward to it!

I use my IPad to surf... I need a BIG screen. Short-sighted and now a little long-sighted.... feeling old.

Today, helped an older lady carry her basket in the supermarket. She said \"thank you, girl girl\". :boogie: She made my day, even though I think her eye-sight not good. :oops:

Shopping when there's $ AND justification is fun. however, be warned... When one is shopping for something, usually can't find it. Haha.

I don't enjoy shopping as much as when I was working. Can't find justification or reason to buy when I want to buy something. Then have to consider whether there's space to keep the new stuff. :frustrated: I'm guilty of being in 1 set of t-shirt, shorts and slippers for the whole day. I'm usually in and out of the home and car, too lazy to change.

That's one of the things I liked about being a SAHM - no need to dress up! Now I have to think about getting office wear again because it's been 16 yrs since I had to wear that kind of clothes, and I'm no longer as young and slim, so I think it will be a headache. And I won't have money yet - I have to get clothes before I can start looking for a job. I haven't a single thing that is suitable for meeting prospective employers!
