It's a joint decision la. Discuss with your hub
By the way, I always thought 2 years age gap is good. Can pass down baby things quicker and throw out baby stuff faster rather than keep for so many years for next baby & took up so much space in meantime.
Then kids will also be closer because they practically grow up together, can play with each other, tell each other little secrets that they won't tell parents, cultivate similar interests, best friends for life! With hindsight, maybe 2 years gap is too close because my kids squabble a lot although they also lovey dovey sometimes
Perhaps 5 years gap is better, less siblings rivalry? I don't know for sure la, according to my friend, hers 5 years gap also quarrel :faint: -

My husband did stop work and study full-time for 4 yrs, and we initially agreed that I would work and we would also use our savings, and he would try to get funding. In the end, I only helped support him for 1 yr as we had a baby and he got a scholarship. I would do the same again, but I had full confidence in my husband's ability to complete the course and that he had good reasons for wanting to do it.
Wow, 4 years is a long time to commit!
My dh took a year off to study together with me overseas. We emptied our entire account in order to go overseas while other friends chose to use the same sum of money to place downpayment for their ECs. -
My kids are almost 5 years apart…2000 jan and nov 2004.
When younger one arrived, he was full of jealousy…until now, they can still quarrel and fight…but older one is able to reach out to sister sometimes…persuade her to get work done…that’s about it.
When it comes to looking after, younger one can do a marvelous job. She is not afraid of blood and looked after gor gor after his operation or teeth extraction. -

When I brought DS over to visit my friend's newborn (first month), he claimed that the baby was too noisy :yikes:It's a joint decision la. Discuss with your hub

My previous Electrolux front load was European made and was really good, no problems till it stopped working after 11 years. Apparently, now the front load washers are made in Thailand and Italy ( more expensive ). My relative has a \"made in Thailand\" Electrolux and after 4 or 5 years, is making lots of noise... Don't think it will last for much longer.
i use Thomson top load,it is combination of washer n dryer.U nid to close the inner drum manually n use low sud powder type. Serve me for 5yrs.KSmom8:
Hi Ladies
Is anyone using a front load washing machine and is happy / unhappy with it? Please share.
Am in desperate need to replace my 8 kg Brandt front load washing machine, which is not worth repairing. It's only 3 and a half years old! Current repairs cost $3xx and then touch panel also going to 'kaput' so that will cost at least $2xx.
My previous washer was an Electrolux and it served me well for 11 years. Current models are made in Thailand so not sure if still reliable.
HELP. Have to find a reliable front load washer quickly. In my household, we can't live without a washing machine... :?:
I am surprised that Brandt not durable. I think i'll buy electrolux next time. -

Thanks for the suggestion!
I just bought a new LG front load 8kg from courts. The Motor has a warranty for 10 yrs and I bought another 3 yrs warranty from courts, therefore normal spare parts repair will be under the warranty of 5 yrs. main reason that I bought it is not many washer gives 10 years warranty on motor.KSmom8:

The salesman recommend this as it is using inverter direct drive system. http://www.lg.com/sg/washing-machines
Compare to my Brandt which using 2 hours to finish the washing cycle, LGuses only 1 hr and use even lesser water than my Brandt front load.
This is just my experience using LG and Brandt.
Btw, my MIL using Bosch front load and it only lasted 2 yrs. MIL has a habit of washing everyday with 1/4 load.
After shopping around, our preference was an Electrolux \"made in Italy\" model. However, sigh, model was discontinued and just sold out. New models will be launched in end April / May so the available \"made in Thailand\" models are being sold at discount.
A friend's washer repairman also recommended LG. So we settled on an 8 kg \" made in Thailand \" front load. Yes, also bought from courts ( price lower lah ) and after adding 3 years extended warranty, the 8 kg LG still costs less than the 8 kg Electrolux ( also Thai made). Waiting for delivery. Hope we made the right decision.

My boys are 7 years apart. My sec 1 boy and k2 boy still fight over the most trivial stuff.... Eg: Who gets to sleep in my room? Who holds the door open ( trying to train them to be gentlemen and open doors for me
)? Whose bag gets to be on seat in the car?
:frustrated:
