Thanks in advance![/quote]I'm not sure if there's anything wrong if a child does not play with puzzle.

If you like your child to be more interested in puzzles, here are a few suggestions

Since she has not started with puzzles yet, start with those that has a few pieces.

I usually buy puzzles with beautiful pictures that my kids are interested in, eg princess theme for DD1, vehicles theme for DS.

For DD1, I started introducing puzzles to her when she's about 3/4 and I bought her those that have very few pieces, like 5 or so and build it from there. DS started at 3+ and also with 5 pieces. Now both are rather good at puzzles.

Sometimes, kids don't play with the toy because they don't know how to play with it. Or the toy does not look pleasing to them.

Toys are supposed to be fun, so don't stress out too much.

As for building blocks, my DD1 started to get interested in them when her bro started on them.I also try to get interesting themes to interest them.

Thanks STHM_TAN!,I started with 3-5 pieces of puzzles. She can do.My son very fast.Compare with him she is bit slow.I think I have to spend more time with her.Now she can do up to 12 pieces (fruits). My son did 42 pieces of dora picture in playgroup. She feel very difficult to do that.I told her to do the edge first and match the color with the boarder. she doesnโ€™t has more concentration and interest.

There are 25 pcs puzzles, if she finds 42 difficult, then start her off with 25 pcs.

Sometimes, to a child who has not master the skills yet, he/she might be overwhelmed if present with too much infor.

My DD1 and DS also progress at different pace, I try not to compare because I will feel stress out ๐Ÿ˜„ I just remind myself to match the kids at their level and progress with them.

Hi I am a ftwm , I just had a pair of twin girls and a 4 hr old. Thinking if I should quit my job to be a sahm buut hubby seems to prefer I work as he feels try to work while I can or until until the kids realli need me to take care ( now maid and mum). I feel I have missed out so much on my #1 progress and is worry if I don spend time with her , she will be closer to my mum in future. She gets jealous cos of her meimei and always threaten to go back my mums place over the weekend . I feel sad when she does that as she used to be closed to me , can't imagine how much time I will have for her once I start work ๐Ÿ˜ž
