Thank u. Tat time I asked moe before on the actual timing for Nov but they couldn't confirm.
U're welcome. There're just too many uncertainties this year due to Covid-19. With this 5-week delay for Round 2, it already seems like the entire timeline has been disrupted. I wonder if the final school posting results will be out before Christmas, otherwise the selected kids who aren't already in a GEP school will have no time left to get their new books and uniforms at all.

Thank u. I know the dates, I need need to know the timing which is not released yet.

If anyone has past years timing, please can u share as I need a gauge to plan my leaves.
        The timing was stated as
        β€œ22 Nov 2021, 8:15am - 23 Nov 2021, 1:00pm”
on the top of the notification of the selection exercise on PG. I’m assuming it means 0815-1pm on both days? But not sure if it will change closer to the time.

MOE somehow just need to make up for lost time.

          after round 2,
          there is :
          marking
          results announcement
          talk
          selection of schools
          posting results

          Then the admin task like:
          buy sch uniform
          buy P4 textbooks
          arrange sch buses

MOE is VERY adventurous to set this type of timeline for parents.
I can't imagine the extra stress

i don't think the MOE telephone helpdesk have access to such info
Perhaps, asking to speak to the GE branch directly will help you get the answer, if you need it that urgently.

My son went for the 2nd round last year 2020, here was the test timing:

              Tuesday:
              English (9:00 am - 10.20 am)
              General Ability 1 (11:05 am - 12:25 pm)

              Wednesday
              General Ability 2 (9:00 am - 9:55 am)
              Mathematics (10:40 am - 12:30 pm)

As he was from non-GEP school so the school arranged bus to ferry all the students to the test center. The bus left at 7am, and the students were ferried back to own school by 1:30pm.

              Hope that helps πŸ˜„

I can't imagine the extra stress[/quote]Marking and results announcement should be relatively fast as there’s only 10% of the cohort. Talk, selection and posting will be online. As long as parents have December to settle the logistics thereafter, it should be manageable.

                Jia you!

The screening stage (1st round) selects for 10% of the cohort.

The selection stage (2nd round) selects for the 1% of the cohort that MOE has identified as being intellectually gifted.
