Tough or not tough… it’s up to the examiners. The only thing that matters now is… IT DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL WHETHER THE KID GETS INTO GEP!! What we should do is tell the kid how proud we are of them, that they were able to come so far, and they should now enjoy the holidays like they should.

Fingers crossed... sounds hard according to my kid, at least she tried her best, that is the most important.

              Agreed.

(although this is not a race nor an important milestone)
Those taking the test today already beat 27,000+ people, when they arrive at the test venue.

              Everyone should be celebrating that.

Since the paper ended, she is busy celebrating over a good lunch, dessert n movie next (Hotel Trans 2)

              So happy its finally over!!!!

Another good book (but no audio) is \"the overparenting epidemic\" by George S. Class, David Tabatsky ***the title matches well for the current covid situation

When i read the glossary, I burst out laughing on the different categories of parents under

              Glossary > I think I'm under \"Hyper parents\"

Congrats to all on the final end of the papers!!! So HAPPY

my son was busy planning playdates with his few friends - during the journey back from test venue to his school.

and the playdate is tomorrow ! (it is already 2 days late… hahahah)

Why my som told me ytd english was harder than today’s math? His english is not that strong but sounds like he did quite bad on ytd’s paper….

He said today he not only finished all but got time to check. But i dont think he got chance as we nvr sent him for tuition since p1….:(

I think it depends on each individual when it comes to difficulty level for the various papers. My son's English is also not top notch but he reads widely (both fiction and non-fiction books). According to his feedback after 2 days, he ranked Maths paper as the easiest (it was easier than he expected), followed by GA 1 + GA 2 (both on par), then English paper last (but still manageable). He had time to check through all his papers, except GA 2 Part 2 (which they did today).

An interesting aspect for GEP testing that I didn't know prior to my son's experience is that he told me they were given sample/practice questions (\"examples\") to do before actually starting on the GA papers (for both days). And these \"examples\" also came with answers + explanations that the kids could refer to after attempting them. For e.g., 5mins would be allocated for attempting 7 \"examples\". And the kids are allowed to refer back to the \"examples\" & explanations when they come across similar type of questions while doing the actual GA papers.

Ur son’s ranking on difficult level is same as my son , but my son never read….i really dont know how he can survive in his past 3 yrs……big puzzel to me.

He said he also finished all questions but i guess his english paper will be a disaster….
