If you only want one school can you just rank 1?
-
Would everyone receive a response irrespective of the outcome?

Yes everyone will get a response. Brown envelope means from GEB. Otherwise, will be a letter from school.

Wow that’s sounds like a worst situation to be in. But I guess it’s a ‘happy’ problem.

how did the kids find math today? could they finish? Mine said GA was tough.

My child said GA was ok. The Maths paper, first 40 were easier. Last 8 questions were tough. My child managed to finish just in time.

Actually you can't. The form last year required us to fill in all three options. They will assign the child to a school based on proximity and school profile (eg if your child is in an all boy's school, they will try their best to assign you to an all boys gep centre too)
Of course can - although it doesn’t mean you will get it.
Still largely based on demand and supply.
The thing is: if you don’t put in a preferred choice two, MOE will assign you to a random choice two. ( in the event that you are “balloted” out of choice one ) -

Your certainty made me revisit the response email last December.

You are correct.
Although I did not put in a 2nd and 3rd choice, I selected “to stay in existing school” -
Does anyone know if one of the variables take precedence ? Eg proximity ?
