The N2 Chinese teacher in PCF Sparkletots @ Bishan East-Thomson Blk 313 is very rude. She raised her voice and "shout" at parent and is extremely confrontational. She complained so loud inside the kindergarten office, bang the door and hit the books very loud in the presence of kindergarten teachers and parents. When the parent asked her for topics/lessons discussed in class, she rudely told the parent to ask her own child for any lessons taught/covered in the class. If 4 year olds can understand and absorb all what is taught in the class, then there’s no need for "nursery", just go direct to Primary 1!
When parents asked other parents regarding schoolwork, she even interrupted and forbid the parent to ask, saying "You don’t need to ask other parents!" and then spoke on behalf of another teacher as if she knew what homework the other teacher gave to the kids. What right does she have to control and demand other parents from talking to other parents? She acts like a uncivilised uneducated woman rather than a "respectable" teacher. I have high regards for teachers but she is totally an exemption. This teacher has extremely poor attitude and behavior and professionalism. What will the little kids learn from her? Shouting and rudeness. No manners and no professional conduct too! And we pay for education services just to be bullied and harassed in this way? -

Hi Parents
My son was recently enrolled in PCF Nursery 2 mid year. Prior to this, my son has never attended school before. On a daily basis, my son is frequently taken out of class. On some occasions, he was brought by an accompanying teacher to the staff room and left to do his work while the teacher does her won work. When enquired, the teachers said my son was hard to manage and refused to listen. it has been four months and on many occasions, the teachers did not do anything when my son wandered off from his classmates or played at the back of the class. Recently, I saw my son running at the back of the classroom, in and out of the toilet, playing on his own for a whole 10 minutes. There were 2 teachers in the room with 5-7 other students. No one stopped him or corrected his behaviour. Only when a classmate of his shouted at him, then one of the teachers intervened. Before the teacher stood up, my son ran to sit on the floor with his classmates. When the teacher approached him, my son raised both his hands to shield himself and cried" No" a few times. He was on the floor and tried to slide away from the teacher. The teacher grabbed him by his shorts and turned him to face the teacher and left him crying in fear. I saw everything through the window. When I enquired with the teacher, she claimed that she had to grab him as he was running. When I called up the principal, i told her of my concern that my son was left unattended for a whole of 10 minutes and the teacher grabbing him by the shorts. She did not address the matter and told me that my son was hard to manage and suggested that I sit in next year with my son in class since I am worried about having a teacher grabbing him.
My son is four years old. He has never had any prior school experience before this 4 months as he had language delay. I had my fear of sending him to school previously as I was worried he would not be able to tell me if anything were to happen to him. I chose to enrol him in PCF thinking that it is government based and safe for him. I was wrong. My son was blamed for the way he was treated. I do agree that my son can be very active. At home, I had no issues with getting him to sit down for hours even.
Last month, PCF has arranged for me to speak with their specialist. The specialist suggested strategies to help my son to improve on his language and behaviour. I have also shared with them on the routines at home. I am very open to the suggestions made by the specialist and tried those strategies. However, after that meeting, I noticed that my son was still taken out of class very often. Sometimes, to follow the accompanying teacher to run errands. He is still not exposed to the class routines. I am not sure as to whether they do try out the strategies with my son as most of the time, I do not see him with his classmates or in the class.
The recent incident of him being left on his own to do as he pleases, pulling him up by his pants and his immediate reaction when the teacher approached him worries me a lot. I am not sure as to whether they have tried to manage my son or they just do not want to anymore.
Any advise? Please help. -

did any parent notice that there is a admin charge for using CDA account to pay for monthly school fees?
S$3/mth for admin fee, this i feel is too much as the interest earned is not even close to this amount! -
