Hi My DS also in, but the teacher didn't announce how many of them were selected. I saw right lower corner of the letter with the school code then a number 16. Anyone know is this a serial number or the total of the round 2 student? He is from the neighborhood school in the East.

        my ds is showing <school code> - 1..
        what does the \"1\" mean?

Not sure though! Just guessing, Is his index number , no 1 in class? Or perhaps he scored the highest?

The letter from moe stated there are 9 GEP primary schools.

Yeah,i think majority of the parents do not send their kids to GEP prep class.
None of my friends send their kids to any GEP prep classes. Many cleared the first round.

I was hoping that someone can share the training contents of such preparation classes. Curious to know. Very costly and hence cannot afford them.

maybe those that send their children to GEP prep classes do not need to come to this forum to find out more … … already know so much! anyway, good luck to all that taking the 2nd round next week.

I know a gf of mine sent her son to Morris Allen’s GEP prep class…$800!! Way too expensive, I did not ask if her son get in…she said she sent her son to get him mentally prepared as her son is smart but playful and careless.

after discussing with hubby, I think I will not send my gal for the prep class…trying to convince that the timing of those classes not ideal as dd is having her oral exam this week, no time to go and attend those classes…and even if she really ends up in GEP, I doubt being smart alone will sustain her throughout the 3 GEP years, as she is quite lazy. I read those GEP threads earlier and it requires motivated and disciplined child to do well in GEP. As of now, dd is happy-go-lucky type…maybe let her do things at her pace now, before i grill her for PSLE in 3 years’ time.
