St Andrew has the advantage of affiliated JC - however, it is a band 7 secondary school according to 2011 banding.

Maris Stella is a band 3 secondary school, seems like having better O Level results. Not sure about St Gabriel. -

Hoping my P4 ds can get into MSHS in the future. -
I have 3 neighbors whose kids are in MSHS. Two of them don't really like the school and their kids don't seem to do too well. As for the third one, her son is doing very well in the sch. Just to share

All 3 have affiliated jc. 1 to St Andrew’s JC and the other 2 to Catholic JC.
But I thought the grades (A*, A etc) are allocated after the fitting into the bell curve and so the % should be roughly the same as the rest of the subjects. No meh?
It was a Minister who revealed that 80% of kids score A in Chinese. If this 80% is fact then the A are not fitted into bell curve. In essence, the A reflects raw score only. Uninformative. It would seem then that the A and B banding are stable 75 to 90 is A. No?
I don't think the marks for A and A* are fixed.
That's right....A and A* ( and other grades) in PSLE is NOT PREFIX, unlike in School exams.
I have posted in this thread and also have enclosed a reply from MOE. Here is the link.
