No doubt DHS has O lvl class, but hearsay fr pupils that the environment is not that condusive,Dunman High School
1. New and nice building.
2. \"O\" Level backup
3. Importantly, heard that the people (from Principal to security guards) are really warm and nice!
perhaps morale being affected.
Yes, the security guards there are so friendly, greet ever1 who drives in. -

My wish is that my girl can go to NYGH and son to Hwa Chong. If they can't make it, I am fine as long as they have tried their very best. I mean, most parents would want their kids to enter top schools and be among the top cohort so I am not exception. But I don't want to over stress myself over 'what they are' versus 'what we hope they are'. As long as they have tried their best I am fine. There are many roads to success in life and going to top schools is not the only option.
Both are the best boys and girls school in Singapore. Ur expectation too high Le la XD Goodluck to ur DD and DS btw -

Maybe those with a COP of 250^? :B Just suggestingChongalicia:
definitely want my kids to go to the top schools.
in your opinion, which are the schools that qualify to be top schools? -
jedamum:
Uh. Not true that lessons are carried out all in Chinese. Though almost everyone in these SAP schools are Chinese. Malays and Indians are non-existent, somehow.parents,

100% students take higher chinese? just recently read somewhere and now concerned if what if kid in SAP sch cannot cope with higher chinese, then will they be treated as/streamed to 'lower class'. :scared:

Students are expected to take HCL in SAP secondary schools. Only in exceptional circumstances do some SAP schools allow the students to drop to CL in later years after trying out HCL. Some schools also have a minimum requirement for clearing HCL at a minimum grade for promotion purposes. So yes, they take HCL seriously in SAP schools.[
