        sean wife:
        Hi,

Like to know, for a child who has completed the whole Jelic program, usually at which booklet would the child start on MPM program?

        Thanks.

It depends on individual child...After he complete Jelic ie b4 mpm, ur child has to take the test to determine his starting pt.

hi, I m thinking of transfering DD from Mpm at TIong bahru to the one at Winstedt Road cos its nearer to my place. Does anyone have any inputs to share abt the Winstedt classroom? ( good or bad feedback are all welcome!) Thanks!

            Hi,

Just started the MPM pgm, would like to check is it every week limit to 2 workbooks? i.e. kid get to do both books half each and the bal. 1/2 bring home to do as homework.
After completed the 2 workbooks, it should be returned to student or MPM kept it?

Yup, 2 bks per wk. kids get to keep the tools but completed bks are with mpm. The parents will get to see the marked bks then will be given back to the centre to keep.

Not necessary 2 materials per week. It depends on the child’s attitude, development over the months.

Some kids refuse to do homework, how?

Some kids even refuse to concentrate in the class. Prefer to be in his/her world. The teachers have reminders all the time and even informed the parents. But there is still no change in the kid’s behaviour. Within 90 mins only do 3 pages.

So the materials are still depends on the instructor’s decision whether the kids are competent enough to complete 2 materials within the stipulated time.

Parents should not challenge the instructor because of materials.

The fees paid is for 2 bks per wk. if the child is unwilling to work with the teacher or refuse to do the work at home for a prolong period of time, parents who are ok to wait for the child can wait it out if the progress is more important than the fees paid. It might also be that the prog is not suitable for the child or the child cannot be engaged by the teacher. In this case, best to consider other programmes or change centre.

                      Thanks all for the info.

So is 1.30 hrs not 2 hrs per session. So do half of each book in class and the rest half do at home is correct.

Why the centre take the books? we paid so much and they get to keep the books is this correct? I need to see the progress and what sort of things my boy is learning. Last week an so busy and my hubby is the one who get him to do the bal. homework. I dont even have a glace what sort of things he's doing. Can i ask for it and return next week?

I guess it’s to protect the content of the materials bah.

You should have the materials with you for 2 wks. The first wk is when your child brings it home to complete the bk. The teachers will return the bks when they completed marking and you will bring it back to them during the next lesson.

As for the timing of the class, it depends. If the child is able to complete the work quickly, he can leave earlier. If he cannot finish then will leave later. No child was asked to leave before they complete the work at centre that my dd1 attends
