For the first time in years, Red Swastika balloted outside 2km for phrase 2B -

Hi,
I want to register my daughter in St. Anthony's Canossian. But I am more than 2km away. What are my chances in phase 2C?Ladybird:
ChiefKS,You may still stand a chance. This school does not subscribe to the notion of parent volunteering and wants to ensure that all kids have a decent chance of a Canossian education. I am a former Canossian pupil but from the sister school (Canossa Convent Primary School) but distance-wise, I am within 1km to SACPS.
I think http://www.sacps.edu.sg/contact.htm is in Bedok and hence does not belong to this thread.

I am ex-girl from Red Swastika but staying in Sengkang. Should not have problem to get my 2003 in there but wonder whether it is worthwhile to do so by either shifting house or stayput in Sengkang but travel long distance.
Can anyone give me some feedback on Red Swatika. Is it considered one of the top or good school ? I heard something that it is not as good as before. Dont know how true.
And anyone can give a comparison between Nan Chiau and Red Swastika ? I registered for PV for Nan Chiau but was rejected. Afterall, i also think whether it is worth my effort if i got PV because some schools become hot cakes just because they are under some huiguan and the name sounds very Chinese. Dont know really that good or not. Heard comments that it is just so so. -

Hi...anyone can tell me whether Tanjong Katong Primary is a gd school? My daughter will b in P1 next yr...I m still contemplating between Tanjong Katong Pri n Haig Girls;....pls help -
the other option would be also CHIJ Katong. The school is brand new and there is affiliation to Secondary school as well.
Tanjong Katong is like an international school with students from many nationalities.
As for Haig Girls, they recently have won some awards and they have also a few students scoring above 275 in PSLE, so it seems the standard is getting higher.
Good luck !

Hi fellow daddies/mummies,
guess I'm a super duper kiasu father-to-be.
My new home within 1KM-radius, there's only 1 Pri Sch, and that
is Haig girls'.
1) Now, clear what problem i have now, right? If I approach my GRC
meet-the people-session, do i have greater chance, anyone has
experience with that?
2) Between Yu Neng and Kong Hwa, which pri sch has the edge over
the other? and why? I have seen the academic result, seems Yu Neng
better in result. Nevertheless, am also concerned of the learning
environment.
ADD:
3) can anyone explain for phase2B, which is PV, the application for most
popular pri sch is 100%, but how come the TUR is always lower?
Thank you for reading.
