[Bedok] Primary Schools
-
Hi,
Iām trying to apply for PV in Red Swastika. Any PVs from RS? Wht are the critierias? Thanks!
Wht r the chances for my boy to get in th school as Iām staying less than 1km? -
Thinking to send my son to Yu Neng or Temasek in phase 2C, but unfortunately we stay around 1 KM+. I believe the chance is very slim.
Does anyone here know if Bedok Green Primary school is good or not?
How about Feng Shan Primary school?
Thanks for reading. -

Thanks for your reply, but I think it's a little late to do pv.

If you are targeting next year's P1, yes, it is WAY too late. Both Temasek and Yu Neng have seen increasing demand over the last couple of years. Both also lost 1 class of 30 students for next year's registration. So you are also right to say that it will be very difficult to get into either school in Phase 2C as you may not even be able to ballot at greater than 1km.
Are you staying near St. Stephen's? You may have a chance if you are within 2km. -

We don't plan to send my son not to single sex school, therefore St. Stephen is not preferred.
Why Bedok Green or Feng Shan have less demand compare to Yu Neng/Temasek/Red Swastika? Is Bedok Green/Feng Shan not good school? -

Is Bedok Green/Feng Shan not good school?[/quote]On the contrary i would prefer to send my son to St stephen's rather than bedok green or feng shan because St Stephen's has a richer culture & longer history and given its missionary backing, makes it lesser of, in fact not even, a \"neighbourhood\" school . u know something like \"heritage\".
don't get me wrong. nothing bad abt being neighbourhood but if u are fine with neighbourhood schools , then i guess u won't even be here checking out schools
...
besides, missionary schools enforces more of \"holistic education\" rather than purely focusing on academics ... eg to appreciate God's Love & Return in kind - all these adds up to moral education. Again I'm neither christian nor catholic...but i would prefer my son be brought up in a school with holistic education rather than purely academics-focused ...
A focus in sports will also suggest a well-rounded curriculum is in place....in this instance, St Stephen's is known for its soccer , swimming ECA... i am unsure of the sports bedok green & fengshan \"specialise\" in...so can't comment.
just sharing my thoughts

Any parents have anymore feedbacks on St Anthony Canossian? I am registering this year but it seems not much feedbacks about this school?
:?: :?: :?: -
This thread is getting really quiet.....anyone can help with the feedbacks for St Anthony's Canossian? I called them up twice once for distance enquiry and once for school tour. Both times the replies were curt and rude and unfriendly. How's the school overall? Do they have close communications with parents if their staffs are so curt and unfriendly? I am registering my girl for P1 this year and not much time left to decide. Please help!!!
