i don't know what others think but i m staying 1km w/i Nanhua but am not trying cos balloting is a must in phrase 2c and not gonna take the risk. Will just send my girl to CHIJ Kellock(under phrase 2b) tho distance further 🙂

Hi Tinkerbell, for 2B are you under church affiliation or PV. Could you share why you would consider an all girls school for your DD?

Sorry, I meant 2A2 under old girls 😉

I wld of course prefer her to go to a good school which is also nearby but the thought of 50-60% chance of getting into NGPS thru balloting is not worth it. I hv no particular reason for sending to all girls but i do know most of my DD's classmates mum prefer all girls school for their DDs. They probably wanted their DDs to be more lady-like.

😐 on the contrary, i thought girls in girls school are more 'gungho'/unladylike? 😉

I think CHIJ Kellock is a good school too. My niece is there and I think it does a good job at character building.

I'm the proud owner of an apartment near Nan hua primary, but I'm all but given up on it. So considering my second choices. Two schools I know quite near are the Clementi Primary, Pei Tong. Both look so so only. Anyone know more info on them, or other schools? Tks.
You can check QiFa primary school.

                  Hi all,

An update from a NHPS teacher for this year PV.

Current available place for Phase 2B: 41
This year PV : 30 parents

I will pray for all those parents doing PV for this year registration that the number of grassroot leaders applying under this phase will be 11 or lesser 🙏

                  Good luck and cheers.

I wish to share my experience trying to register under phase 2B at Nan Hua today. I recieved a call from Nan Hua this morning to ask if I was going to register today. From then onwards, I called Nan Hua several times through the day to check the registration numbers. In the end, when I called close to 4pm and was told that there were still vacancies left, I decided to head down to register, after having given my name over the phone. When I reached there, the staff looked through a few forms, each meant for a separate child, but could not find my child’s form. It seemed that they had prepared these forms for specific children, and were waiting for them to come in to register. When she failed to find my child’s name within those few forms that she was holding, I was told that I am not on the list as I did not confirm that I was coming when I was called in the morning. I was subsequently asked if I was a PV as another staff commented that all are PVs, while another staff looked at a separate list for my child’s name. When they found my child’s name on that list, one of the staff said aloud in dissappointment that they may have to ballot…

that is right, 42 out of 42. There are a lot of privileged people, namely grass root leaders, that cut in the queue in front of you. That raises the number in phase 2B from 26 to 42.

I guess the number for 2C will be down to 40 from 41, if the number of vacancies goes does up from 41 to 42.

                        Can some one confirms this?
