The principal is fr kcps .. If he can help the sch achieve that standard , this sch might beat rivervale or NCps as top sengkang sch ..

      Hi
That's what me and my hubby agrees on. He has got good reputation in kcps.
Should be able to build up quality standard in palm view. Talk to some of the staff
At e road show that some of the teachers from kcps will be going over to palm view too.
My son going to be the pioneer there. Hehe..

      Mrs ng

So there will be experienced teachers and not trainee teachers? Nothing against new teachers at all... but the school being new should have experienced teachers/staff to build a foundation...

Not much info on the website yet...

By the way, the school is walkable from Buangkok MRT station?

For a new school like Palm Spring, the Principal will recruit experienced teachers who are interested and passionate and enthusiastic to be the pioneers in building up a new school system.

So A vast majority of teaching staff will be experienced teachers who will have AT LEAST 2 yrs of teaching experience. MOE may send new teachers who are fresh out of NIE, but the number is small.

being a more \"art-centric\" school i think it is a good opportune for student to be more all rounded than academically centric....being trained in engineering, i find that art and science is inter-linked, more important we must let our kids to find learning a joy..:D

Given a choice between jaded, \"experienced\" teachers who are so rooted to the old school of thought of authoritarian approaches while ignoring the diverse profiles of the pupils and new teachers who are young, full of zest and willing to try new approaches to help my kids to understand and excel, I choose the latter any day.

Please refrain from making sweeping statements. Experienced and new teachers have their own pros and cons.

i think we are all concerned parents for our dear ones and wish our children to be brought up in the best environment. πŸ˜„

I guess it is purely miscommunication here, and it is naturally to speculate since there are no further information from the school website when it is so new and there is no information from past students..

Let's be objective, there is no right or wrong here and i think this is a good platform to question some mindsets. i am also opening my option open and not jump to any conclusion, who knows, i may misjudged when i think it is right.

Pls continue to input your valuable ideas/insights/comments here...who knows, one day we may be sitting in the same classrooms? πŸ˜„

Think it's white top with orange and green - the school colours. This was the rough design presented during the roadshow. http://i48.tinypic.com/1gsryc.jpg\"> Bigger image here:http://i47.tinypic.com/aavi95.jpg. Bottom may be khaki or grey. They showed another pic but I didn't capture that.

I like the vibrant colours, quite similar to Frontier's. πŸ™‚ Current design is a 2-in-1, which the VP says is popular, i.e. double up as PE attire cum uniform. Not sure about shoe colour, but the VP did say that white shoes teach the kids discipline to keep clean.

When I asked her abt proper sch unifom and tie, shes said she'll get feedback from parents on the design, including blazers.

This is what I gathered at the road show. Things might change.
