      Hi,

My husband is an old boy of Maha Bodhi School. But we will like him to get into the ACS family instead due to the sec school affiliations. We are within 1km of ACS Junior. And I have recently called the school to volunteer but they have rejected us.

I was wondering is it possible that I enroll him in Maha Bodhi in phase 2A. Then at phase 2C, i check how’s the chances of balloting at ACS junior, if the chances are good, I withdraw his Maha Bodhi place and try for ACS Junior. I know this is a little Kiasu…Was just wondering am I allowed to do so? 😃

Yes, it's allowed and widely practiced by many. Good luck! 😄

but do note that if you failed at ACS, you can’t go back to the place you gave up at Maha Bodhi.

Secure your place at Maha Bodhi first...however, the withdrawal and registering at ACS Jnr is a rather dangerous move...once you withdraw, you will lose your place and go for balloting if required at ACS.

                Hi mummies,

i’m new here. may i know if my hubby used to study acs(primary) only and not joining alumni, does it mean my son will be in phase 2A2 when register for P1? i understand from a friend that a parent needs to be in acs(p), acs(sec) in order to meet the criteria? appreciate ur advise. thank you!

Your son indeed qualifies for registration in phase 2A2. You are absolutely correct. But do take note that you will need documentation (report book, cert) to prove that your husband was really an old boy of ACS (Primary).

Being in ACS (Sec) does not give you priority to register, as in my case... 😞

The only obvious choice…my former primary school NYPS. DD is now a P2 student there.

I would like to have my son studying in CHS since our home is just beside it, but alas…this is most likely not going to happen.

You're staying in Bishan ? CHS is great for boys...affiliated sec and close to home.
