All About Getting Priority Registration

What you need to do now, is to find your report book or PSLE cert or any other documentary proof that states that you were indeed an ex-HPPS student. Then keep that document safe, and wait for the registration in 2013....but please do remember where you keep that document!!I'm a newbie to this forum. I'm a ex-HPPS student. My son is born in 2007. I'd like to ask if anyone can enlighten me how i can get my son into the school? Would he be guaranteed a place under phase 2A2? What must i do now? Must i be a parent-volunteer?

Hello all,
Heard from some friends, they get the extra degree, as in in education, and opt to teach in the pri school that they hope the child will get in.
I would do the same if go back in time, instead of doing pv or others.
Just one cent of my thoughts.

Try to find your PSLE leaving cert or report book. If really can't find, check with MOE.Hi all,

If I studied at the secondary school, can my child have priority during the registration for the primary school?
For example, if I studied at ACS Secondary but didn’t study at the primary school, would I be considered under the phrase 2A2?
Thanks. -

No. You need to be from the primary schoolIf I studied at the secondary school, can my child have priority during the registration for the primary school?

I was just wondering… Is there any priority for the child if the grandparent is from that particular school? Or only for the parents?

Nope. Priority for the child is applicable only if either parent was former student. -
Hi,
My hubby was from Maris Stella Primary previously.
However, it’s a boys school, but the problem is my elder child is a girl.
what are my options ? can I gain priority for other primary school, e.g: Pei Hwa Presb, Nanyang Pri, MGS ??
Please advise. -

Actually, it depends on schools. Some schools will allow that if you pay to join their alumni. You need to contact the school to find out. I know an ex-classmate (who joined the school in Secondary only) and she managed to get into alumni and managed to get her gal a priority registration for the same affiliated primary school. Better to enquire from the school.

Are you in any way affiliated to any of these schools you mentioned - old gal? PV? grassroot? If you are asking if they will offer priority based on your hubby being old boy from Maris Stella, the answer is no as there is no affiliation.Hi,
