in P2.
She has confusion in problem solving.
What can be done. How can i help her to come out of this. -
Hi Dolly83,
My DS has no tuition and he score 100% for 4 terms (in P1 & P2). My secret is only let him do topic by topic after the teacher tough them in the school. Do everyday, few question each day. Maths is a subject need constant practice. There are many good books you can easily get from popular bookshop with the model answer. If she is weak in open ended question & word problem sums just go through where her mistake are and cover it with a blank paper and re-do. Just my humble two-cents! -
Dolly83:
Find out what it is that is confusing her. Does she understand the basic concepts? Does she have a problem with reading? Does she know how to construct the math statements from the info in the problem sum? Is it carelessness? Try working from the basics since you have 2 mths before school begins again. I would suggest avoiding just practising more until you have figured out what is causing her difficulties. My kid scored 20 out of 50 in maths
