My child has been under the same violin teacher since he was 3. He took his first violin exams last yr (Grade 4) when he was in p1. so far no complaints abt this teacher. PM me if you need contact.
hi I have pm u on the detail of the violin teacher. ThanxStarrenee:
Thanks for the feedback. Anyone has any violin teacher to recommend for private classes then? I'm located next to school. Did ask under Violin threads but no one seem to respond so hopefully and TNS parents with private violin classes can pm me their teachers contact if they are good with kids. Thanks!
Hi, ds did not join but i heard from other parents that class size is big and hence difficult to give indiv attn. Her child did not benefit much from it. drop out rate is also quite high as interest is not sustained. -
I only receive one pm fr wn but that is a agency for violin. I dont want to go thru agent due to bad experience. Any one else can share?

My child did not join the violin class in the school.
Instead we go to Juzmusic at Parkway Centre 9th floor.
Do enquire yourself.

I think its quite confirmed.
My child's form teacher told me that it will be shifted to Bedok, diagonally opposite Bedok MRT. I believe it is holdin the St Anthonys presently.
I was told it is going to be 2013.schweppes:

Not a requirement, but a norm.
My child is in P1 now. She and most friends are reading wimpy kids, geronimo stilton.
Actually in order to do even the math papers, you have to be able to read well.deardear07:
Hi mummies,is it true that children attending TNS usually can read quite well?
I was just asking a mum abt reading level for k2 to be able to cope well for TNS p1...she said most children r good readers - example geronimo stilton n magic treehouse series for p1... As in they have progressed onto chapter books.
Is that the requirement?or the norm? -
No streaming?
Maybe not the right word. But I believe they are tested on every subject right from Jan. My child brought back test papers for every subject. And yes was told some children are selected for remedial.tankee:
That's for remedia classes, which are additional small group based tuition for those students that need a little more coaching. Once any child is deemed to have caught up with the rest, the child can stop attending. Any child that has fallen behind, will be recommended and encouraged to attend. Parents can opt their children out of remedial classes if they are picked.
For DS class, there are only 4 children that require extra coaching this term.
