Hi, have been MIA from this site for a while, good to be back!!


Just wanted to check if anyone knows if Tao Nan will put our kids thru a test during the upcoming P1 orientation? I’ve read in some other KSP forums there’s some sort of a test (on numeracy, language etc).

Is this something all schools practise?

Yeah me too, that's why i buy text books from Popular book store...easier, less queue and have 10% discount from Popular card hehehe

but still have to queue for uniform

Hi Lucky, i got the orientation letter some time back. But i dun think you'll know which class your kid is posted to untill the day of orientation.

There will be a tag with the child's name and class sent together withe the orientation letter. Children are supposed to wear the tag on orientation day and line up according to their allocated classes.

I tried to do that in advance of receiving the Tao Nan book list, but for some reason, Tao Nan is not one of the schools listed in Popular's list of schools.

Looks like gotta wait till orientation day to know what to buy.....and queue!!

oh, even if you buy from popular, you still need to order the report book from sch bkshop.

No, Tao Nan doesn't use this method.

They have 13 P1 classes this year so all the students are spread all over the different classes.
