Hi, my dd says 19.

90-26-26=38. 38\\2=19

Do you know the ans for Qs 6- there are some water in a bottle. She drank the same amount of water every day. After the 12th day,1/3 of the water was left. After the 14th day, there is 200ml of water left. How much water was there in the bottle at the start.

Also, at the end of the 12th day, 2/3 of the water was left and not 1/3. (:
q6 solution:

2/3 divide by 12 equal 1/18
14-12 is 2
2x 1/18 is 2/18
1/3-2/18 is 2/9
2/9 is 200ml
9/9 is 900ml

hope I helped.

🙂 :imdrowning:

Hello, the question was something like this:

\" There are 110 men and women in a line. There are at least 3 women between 2 men. What is the most number of men in the line? \"

I can't remember the exact question, just the important points. Hope that helps. ^^

Bet the difficulty cant be compared to my year, PSLE Maths 2009, which was an absolute killer.

@Sunbrazen:

Sry if u are offended, but…
I have a math teacher who is really humourous, he taught me n my friends a method he created called the "table method" which makes us do cross multiplication n stuff like that to solve question; it is really easy and simplistic.

I went online, found the "killer questions" of 2009. No offense, but they were really easy, all could be solved by table method.

The man and women qn(qn29 of booklet b), the answer is 44. Why not 28? Because if you take 110-28=82. 82 cannot be decided by 3(women), so 28 is wrong and the only possible answer is 44. I have checked and confirmed with my tutors.

@Mwf3:

110 ppl in queue. According to question,
At least 3 women between 2 men. So, arrangement: M W W W / M W W W…

110 / 4= 27 R2

There is a remainder of 2 ppl, one of them is a man, the other a woman.
so ans is 28, no argument.

XD

Also, if you go about the method that you stated, 110-28=82
82-1=81
81/3= 27

So 28 is the answer.

*No offense, but ur mistake was bcos u did not take into account the remainder

Hello, 28 is the correct answer. If you draw it out, you will see that if you use 44, there will be no women at all between some of the men, making it:

M W W W M M W W W M M W W W M

However, if you use 28, it will be like this:
M W W W M W W W M W W W

Hope this helps. ^^

one group MwwwMwww

13 groups x 8 = 104 people
+ another MwwwMw = 110 people
13 groups x 2 men = 26 men
26 + 2 = 28 men.
hope tis is correct.
