It depends on the performance of your cohort because the published COP is for the year before. Last year's COP for many schools dropped because it was a tough PSLE. This year's PSLE being generally easy, I expect COPs to rise at a lot of schools. So, if you're looking at last year's COP as a gauge, then no, I don't think you will be able to get in if you score 2-3 points less than 2009's COP.

can someone advise which is the best school in katong area for someone with agg score of 240-250? my ds is a avg achiever who can be pushed to do better but has no cca to help to get into good school like dunman high.

what do you mean \"not this year\" ?[/quote]I could be mis-infomed, but I understand that w.e.f this year, the HMT will not give the 1 to 3 bonus points when admitted to SAP secondary school. Anybody can confirm this (or confirm I am wrong)?

Anybody can confirm this (or confirm I am wrong)?[/quote]DS told me the HMT 1-3 point can be added to apply any school, bonus point to encourage for students sit for HMT, is that true?

the SAP schools did not say such thing

Page 3 of the big book on secondary schools S1 posting for 2011 states that the top 30% of the PSLE cohort who took HCL (and HMT) and who is admitted to SAP sec school will receive the bonus points of 3, 2, 1 according to their PSLE HMT grades of distinction, merit, pass

I don't think a policy will change without being announced and without all schools being informed or without all students being informed
