PSLE COP 2010
-
JieTing:
Ask your friend's to appeal after S1-posting results are out. Some students may reject NUSH's offer. I know a case of someone who scored 263 in 2007, was unsuccessful in his application, but within a week after S1 posting results were out, NUSH gave him an offer.JieTing:
Heard from my friend: COP for NUSH go up from 257 to 264 this year. (Scary!)
My friend's son applied for NUSH but unsucessful, very disappointed. -
wonderm:
Since NUSH does not participate in S1 posting, I don't think we can talk about COP as in the cases of other schools.
In any case, if we are referring to the lowest PSLE scores which NUSH takes in after the PSLE results are released, I don't think anyone knows that for this year, not even the school itself. That is because NUSH has given out many places during DSA phase (90%?), some of those who have accepted their DSA offer might be appealing to other schools after PSLE results released. Not all of the appeal cases know the outcome of their appeal yet, hence NUSH does not know the total number of additional vacancies it will have eventually. If very few appeal out of NUSH, then they will have very limited places to offer to new applicants. Hence their eventual COP is also not representative of this year's COP of other top schools.
Thanks for enlighten me.

Is your child in P6 this year and waiting for S1 posting results? Anyway, we will know the outcome in less than a week.

Yes. My DS is waiting for his S1 posting result.
He is worried that he cannot get into the school he wants.

My guess is that most schools' COP will be lower this year, especially the top schools. All the best to your DS! -
