octopusmum:
yes, NUSH cop this year is 264(just call school)he was offered RV. we r okay with that school but it is the distance that is bothering us. comparatively, HCI or NJC is nearer.
we did try NUSH but he was rejected. heard that the COP for NUSH is very high this year. -
At that time, I didn’t link the first choice school to appeals. In fact ,have never thought of appealing until I found out from my friend that her son got into hci w 258 and my son missed it juz by one mark. So thinking of trying our luck to appeal. If we can’t get into either hci or njc then will stick w rv. Have told Dh that he may have to sacrifice some sleep and drive him to a mrt station nearer to jurong to shorten the traveling time

Hi octopusmum,
My DS 257 got to his first choice school HCI
. Maybe you can try to appeal if it was yr first choice school. Hv you filled up the appeal form? All the best to your boy :celebrate:

[/quote]Looks like HCI COP is high 257. Remember that T-score has decimal points? So some 257 get in some don't.Megametro:

Optopusmum,
I remember reading somewhere in this forum that RV provides bus services in the morning from Toa PaYoh. You may want to call the school to enquire about the bus service. Straight from TPY to school, better than taking you own train, wait for bus, switch to bus, then walk etc.... -

Does your DS 257 include HCL already?

How are you so sure HCI does not accept non-1st choice appeal and NJC will?In octopusmum's situation, had already informed her in the forum that it was a bid mistake putting RI as her top choice with score of 255+2.
Should hve place HCI or NJC as the top choice instead and put another good school as second choice. A number of parents in this forum are very well-informed and offered excellent advices to parents. Is up to individuals to discern such infos.
Hope she is successful in her appeal to NJC-good and neaer to her house.
