You must be serving as exec member for 1 year (excluding how long you remains as observer) before you are qualified for the P2B privilege. So it's not upon becoming EM.Hi I thought once u are executive member after one year from
Observer we are entitled as phase 2b right ?
Please advice -

If you are registering next yr (2013) for P1 on 2014, you are too late already to go by GRL route. If you are registering in 2014 for P1 in 2015, maybe possible but you must be EM on or before 30 Jun 2013, which is quite tight too in terms of schedule. From registering your interest to officially joining RC/NC as observer may already take months.I have the following queries, please help. Thanks.
1) Upon signup as RC volunteer, the volunteer is considered as 'Observer', and after serving for 1 year, then RC will assess before promoting to 'Executive Member'?
2) And after serving at least 1 year as a 'Executive Member', then will be eligible to register/request for the endorsement letter as 'Community Leader'?
3) So in total have to serve at least 2 years to get the 'Community Leader' endorsement letter?
My child will be registering for P1 in year 2014, which means I am too late to join as RC volunteer now?!!! -
I am not clear on the grassroots leader rules. Can someone advise me so that i can plan ahead. For instance, if i choose to serve as ccmc executive member in sengkang west smc but i stay in aljunied grc. Am i eligible to register my child under phase 2b at roysth primary school(under ang mo kio grc)?

Is serving at MPS related to participation at RC?One case. There are husband and wife joined RC in January 2011. They are very active in serving as organizing chairman in some events. In june 2011, the wife became EM, the husband in aug 2011 then became EM.
They were active in meet people session last year. Heard recently, they are not in mps anymore. -

No, you can only register with schools at SK West SMC and Aljunied GRC. -

No. Anyone can serve at MPS without joining any GROs. Usually they will try to persuade you to join party when you serve at MPS as MPS is run by branch party members. -

Does anyone know how long a community leader need to serve before he or she can qualify for phase 2B? I was told it used to be 3 yrs, but now changed to only 1yr.

I donno but don't think it's one yr. I read somewhere in ksp thread - first year is observer only, second year then \"really do work\". One need to chalk many years of ground work then got a cert. Need this cert to prove that one is a grassroots leader to register in phase 2b.
My colleague's hubby was a rc leader for many years. Way before their kid's were born, he already helping out at that rc. When they wanted to try for Fairfield thru pv, the school rejected their pv application on grounds that they lived more than 1km away. Then they wanted to try the grassroots route. Then got rejected (dunno by who or who tell them) cos the hubby is the rc leader in another constituency. So they gave up and register they kid via phase 2c at a neighborhood school.
