With election coming, will it affect the electoral boundary and hence school registration in 2011?


Heard from a friend that with the drawing of new boundary, their targetted school might no longer fall under their GRC list.

If tat's the case also bo bianz, nothing can be done. Only option left is to move house to within 1km.

BTW, when will the new boundary be out, can help to keep up updated if the new boundary is out, still want to know too. Hope it doesn't affect all of us here.

Actually, I am not too sure as I am not in the grassroot process. My friend actually got her hubby to call them up to check and realised some changes.

It's too late for PV and 1km within 2C for their targetted school is very risky... So wonder what is the next step. Can appeal,etc...?

Actually with with changes, someone will definitely be affected. But just felt that it is unfair especially if one has contributed so much time and effort.

Dun bother to call RC. As vice-chairman, I have no info also on the boundary. Whatever they say may be just speculation.

Yes, don't bother calling the RC/NCs as it's beyond their control. The changes are currently being deliberated by the Electoral Boundaries Committee which was convened by PM Lee on October 30: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1090380/1/.html


The report hasn't been published yet so no one knows what changes, if any, will be made in their GRCs.
