Yes, you're right, as a former student, your child will be able to register under phase 2A2 (I assume you're not KCP's alumni member).Appreciate all your advices...

If you're not eligible to register your child under phase 2B for Ai Tong, I'm sorry to say, that you're not likely to be able to register for AT; for the past few years, AT has been balloting under phase 2C for those staying within 1km only. Your place is more than 1km from AT. As for Marymount, you should not have any problem securing a place under phase 2C.
So, now, you have to decide and consider carefully which school do you really want your child to go to: KCPPS or Marymount. I think both schools do have open house before P1 registration. Perhaps you could visit the schools to help you with your decision making.
Cheers. -
Hi
We are Singaporean Indian family staying at Bishan. Our 5 yr old son will be soon bracing to face the primary school education. We have been educating him to learn mandarin as we want him to be culturally diverse. Therefore we want him to take up Mandarin as his second langage rather than take the default i.e Tamil. We would like the good parents in this forum to advise us on the procedure. Has any parent been in this situation? Our choice of school is Catholic high.
Thanks -

Hi all,
Anyone interest to know more about KCPPS, the open house date is out. Refer to the thread"School open house…" -
Hi parents,
We are thinking which school to register our son in, we stay within 1 km of AT. We are not Hokkiens or ex-students.
We would prefer AT but aware of the popularity of AT, so considering the Plan B.
does anyone know if there are disciplinary issues at KCP?
thanks,

I am not sure which year you will be registering your child. For AT, even within 1km, under phase 2C, chances of balloting within 1km is very high. So, if possible, do consider being a PV (if there is still time).
If you can't get your child into AT, I'm afraid, you also won't be able to register for KCP (unless you have church affiliation or a PV), KCP is also quite popular, phase 2C, balloting for 1-2km. My guess is you are either 1-2km or outside 2km from KCP. -

Hi,
We hope to be able to register our son (2011 admission) to KCP. We probably come under balloting cos where we stay is definitely more than 2km.
Wanna check if there'll be transport from geylang bahru to the sch if we do get in (by God's grace)? Any idea the cost of school transportation?
Just thinking ahead...
Hi,
For 2011 admission, you will be registering this year right?
I am assuming that you will be registering under phase 2C. For the past few years, balloting has occurred for registrants staying 1-2km away from the school. I'm afraid you will not have the chance to the ballot. However, if you still would want to enquire about transportation, you can visit KCPPS's website. The bus operator's info. can be found there.
I'll advise you to plan for registering a school closer to your residence or at least one where by you have a better chance of securing a place for your son.
Best of luck in the coming P1 registration! -

Wondering if anyone can help?
My hubby was old boy of Catholic High Primary from P1 to P5 and subsequently transferred to St Anthony’s Primary from P6. He does not hv any records of his years at Catholic.
Does anyone know if the school has any records of their old students and will my son be considered under Phase 2A when I register him for 2013 intake?
Appreciate any help.
