Just read any 15 eng books and 5 mt books and they earn a bronze badge. Quite a few kids in my boy's class have gotten their badges.
Wow! So fast! Any dateline for this? I saw that the teacher need to sign off the form, right? Teacher will verify every book that they read?

Can please explain more? Thanks, mashy!

Yes, the teacher will sign. Think the kids just need to submit the form for the teacher to sign. My boy never submitted it. I know of a boy who finished all twenty books in a day.

              Dear mommies,

My P1 DS suffered from school bullying on last Thursday. His cheek was bitten, front armed was pinched by a P4 boy in school bus after released from school. Clear teeth marking, swollen and bruises on his cheek and front arm.
Sent my DS for medical checkup. Also emailed the evidence and met principal about this incident on next day immediately, she promised to investigate and update me the progress.
What should I do after receiving her update? Seeing the P4 boy and his parent? Or let the school settle with them?
I am heart-aching and angry, also disappointed with the school discipline. However, understand the child is from a single parent family, if his parent is avoiding the responsibility and meetup, it seems nothing more I can pursue…
Can mommies advise me what action I can do, and who else I can approach to raise this issue??

              Many many thanks…

My son fell down last week too when a p5 boy grabbed his leg. I happened to be in sch and his classmates came running to me that he was beaten up by the p5 boy. No big damage done but coz he was crying buckets an everyone had their version of what happened, I left it as that. I told my son, next time don’t keep crying. He has to tell us what happened. The good thing that came out of it is that his classmates were so protective of him. His classmates surrounded the p5 boy after the incident to prevent him from getting away. Lol.

Hi Mashy, your son’s case happened in school and lots of witness.

However, incident on my son’s happened when he and the bully (w/ the bully’s younger bro) were the last 3 students to be released on the journey back home. They were both sitting on the last row of the mini van school bus. The school driver was not vigilant enough to detect the bullying, and my son was too scare to response to the driver. Everything was happened so fast and sudden, I only able to detect it after the school bus drove off…

Sch bus is like that. When I was in pri sch and took sch bus, a boy kicked me off the bus when I was descending from the steps. I didn’t even bother telling my parents because they won’t be able to help me. I complained to his teacher but all I got was a ‘are you sure?’ and that’s it.

Perhaps tell him to sit near the bus driver next time. If at the beginning of the trip he is at the back, just move forward as it empties out. I think even if you meet his parents, what can you do? Sue them? Esp if single parents, they will already have other probs of their own and your son is the least of their worries.

Oh dear, maomiko. Your son's experience is quite frightening. I would expect the school put this matter top in their priority, or else, I would report the case to the police!

School bully should not be tolerated at all, although the bullying child may come from a dynfunctional family background.

May I know which school bus number is that? My son is taking bus #9.

                      Thanks.
