Hi Astee & Rejoice,Astee Foo:
Hi Rejoice/Mng_kl,
I saw the open house banner at the gate this morning when i sent my chdren to school. So far, also did not recvd mailer from the school, so probably they gave to those whom have younger siblings...:P
My DS had his medical check and injection last week, think was Thursday or Friday.
I've got the mailer from my letterbox... maybe I'm staying nearby ba ^^
Will go TGPS to have a look after my DD's PTS with MFS in the morning (tho our registeration year is 2013 :P; I'm a SUPER KS mom
Trust me, you are not super KS...alot of parents are already looking at doing their PV's for those \"hot-Fav\" schools and their registration year is the same as yours..haha. Your DD was born in the year 2007? -
Dear all,

Hi Astee
Thanks for sharing the good news. As far as I know, my DS is happy at school. He still enjoy his carefree childhood as there isn’t lots of homework to give him stress. That is important for us and for him. -

Yes, P1 and P2 are transitional period for the kiddos and homework is minimal. The real action aka \"Stress\" starts in P3. My gal is now in P3 and with introduction of Science subject and Supplementary classes 2 times a week. She is feeling the \"heat\" now, so i am everyday trying to \"cool\" her down...haha. :imcool: -
Hope all of you had a R&R weekend after the few days of topical tests for the kiddos.
Looking at the 2012 - P1 Registration Exercise and noted that for Phase 2C, TGPS had the highest numbers of registration in AMK zone. A good indication that neighbourhood school is also now doing well in term of academic and holistic teaching.
Wishing all a Happy 46th National Day holiday!
Cheers! -
Hi,
I’ve registered my son in TGPS for 2012. Could any of the parents here enlighten me the school hour of the school, esp for P1? (i.e. what time do the school start and end?) Thanks a lot. -
hi Isaliz,
We look forward to welcoming your DS to the TGPS Family and hope that you will also enjoy the journey with your son. I believe the school will be arranging an orientation for the P1 children/parents. Likely it will give you an idea of the school hours.
My son is currently in P1 and his school hours are 7.30am to 1pm (Mondays - Fridays). With the introduction of Math enrichment and English Speech & Drama class this term, his wed and thurs are now extended till 3pm.
Also P1 children may sign up for CCA (optional), so if your DS has interest to join a sport or club, again depending on days/time, he may be required to stay back or return back to school in the afternoon for the CCA.
Hope this helps and do feel free to call the school if you need further clarification. -
Hi Astee,
Thank you very much for the detailed reply : ) -

Thanks for sharing. My son told me his teacher loaned him some money to buy food today as I (bad mummy :p) forgot to give him his pocket money. I'm glad his teacher cares to make sure he doesn't go hungry or thirstyDear all,
