We were prepared for the MT CA paper as DS kept saying there is a test but we could not find the letter about the test chapters.

After school, i asked DS about the MT CA but he said teacher decided to hold back the test, not sure the actual reason, so will wait for further advice.

There was a list of test dates for all levels and it even states that there is a science test for P2s... I kept asking DS is there a MT CA test, he seems not sure too...anyway, its too late now, as it was listed to be on th 27th Feb'12 :faint:

We received the test date letter previously but it only stated test date for English and Math. Asked my boy if he has MT test today, he said no and not term 1 Also a bit clueless on this. Well, yes it is too late now. Haha.

Can't believe term 1 is almost over. Looking forward to one week of rest without waking too early. :boogie:

Mummies whose kids are in Ananias: Would also appreciate if you would kindly share your child's experiences in Ananias. My concerns are teachers' attitude to the students, cleanliness and ensuring the kids complete all the school homework with supervision plus additional assessment work.

My boys are at the Friendship Student Care at the basement of block 213. I chose there because it is close to my house and very convenient for me. The center is run by folks from a Baptist Church. It is a small student care with less than 20 students total. The kids are from CHS, GuanYang and other schools nearby. Besides being nearby, what I like the center is it is Christian base and there is not many students there. The person in charge is kind and very flexible with our request. He also provide badminton lesson once a week for the kids but I am not sure if there is additional charge. Since being small, the center does not have lots of activities or extensive programs. It is definarely not the kind of center where acedamic advance is heavily focusing on. Since my boys still take afternoon nap and I try ti. Ring them home early everyday, I don't require tuition or close monitoring of the students academic so it suits me well. It may be good that visit the center yourself and talk to the person in charge there to see if u like what u see. Hope this help.

Thank you very much for sharing the info. on your kids’ student care centre. I too prefer a centre with a smaller group of students. Though I’ll also need close monitoring of the homework as I get home late and do not have much time to run through her schoolwork. But I’ll find time to go down personally to check out the place.

DS took back his test paper. Result not ideal sigh. Thank God thisnterm result not counted. Will need to put in some push for next term, sight… But before then, looking forward to holiday and one week of sleeping in, hurray!

Initially i thought this CA1 was taken into consideration. My girl was down and missed her P4 CA Science paper on Tuesday. The FT told me that this CA1 is for revision and not taken into consideration...hehe. My DS did within our expectation, so we are giving him a good treat for the upcoming school holidays. This will be a good gauage of your child capability, so can use the school holiday to work on the weaker area.

Just wan to get an opinion.

Last week, DS told me his classmate borrowed $2 from him. The next day, this classmate (B) wanted to borrow money from him again and DS refused. DS asked him to return the $2, to which B said he only has $1 and he borrowed $1 from classmate C to return DS. DS reminded him to return the $1 to but somehow B misunderstood and thought that DS wants him to return $2 to him and $2 to . Confusing rite?

Anyway DS told me abt the incident that nite but I thot small issue la, let the kids handle themselves and told DS to explain to (B) that he is not asking for extra $2. The next day, DS told me (B) had told his mum about this incident.

I was thinking, should I inform the tr abt this, cos I do not wan any misunderstanding that DS is a mini-loanshark.

What do you think? Am I over-reacting?
