If the item was just lost, like 1 or 2 days, can go general office to ask. Only if nobody claim the items will they be displayed in the cabinet in front of the bookshop. My daughter lost her wallet and I went to GO to look for it. The staff asked since there’s no name how can I proof the wallet is hers? That left me speechless!

My girl lost the items for quite sometime already. The water bottle has her name, however. Can we not describe the lost item if they ask? Not like I have seen what they have displayed in the cabinet. The cabinet is a display rack with transparent glass? If so, my girl can take a look if the items are there.

Saw the glass cabinet before - can see everything inside. Is just next to the first drinks stall, facing the bookshop. If there is name indicated, should be easy to claim back from there. -
I’ve asked my girl to check. None of her items is there. so someone really took it at the canteen.
She saw her friend’s water bottle there, however. I’ve asked her to inform her friend. -

Hi rejoice,Hi Ninjago,
I went with DS2's class for the learning journey. It was very hot that day. The kids have to stay under the sun most of the time. Some of them did not bring enough water and the teachers have to buy water to refill their bottles. I think it was the heat plus the excitement that caused so e of them to vomit. Some of the kids dozed off in the bus returning to school.
Overall it was fun and the kids were very friendly, too friendly I think as some of them asked me to go to school to see them everyday after the trip, haha. It was a good experience as I could see how DS interact with his classmates and put faces on names whenever DS tells me about his class. After this trip, I strongly encourage parents to at least join one of the LJ just to experience it.
I agreed with you! I also joined my gal's learning journey as a PV and had so much fun with the kids. Their excitement really rubbed off on me. I got to know my girl's classmates and can relate better when my girl talks about them.
It's a learning journey worth going and no regret taking leave for that.

Hi. First time posting. Long time browsing this forum. I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice about enrichment class for P1 child. My son is in P1E and he's a bit weak in math (meaning no interest). I've looked at several math enrichment classes for P1 around Serangoon and Ang Mo Kio area. Seems like the P1 Math classes are not filled at all and thus can't open up a class. I mean, for P1 is it necessary to take math enrichment class yet... or just buying assessment books from bookstore will do? Same goes for the English and Chinese class? Thanks in advance.
You might want to try out this magazine (http://www.add-venture.com.sg/). My dd enjoys doing the exercises and the magazine is not so dry. -
Hi all,
Have not dropped the forum for a while. Good to see that it is still active :-).
Hi ForeverW,
My DS2 brought back a lunch bag from school yesterday that was lost by DS1 at the end of January 2013! We thought it was lost at another place. DS2’s teacher saw Ds1’s name written on the bag and passed it to DS2 since she did not know where DS1’s classroom is :-). So TGPS students are actually quite honest :-).
Hi Cmum,
I went with DS1 this time for a LJ at Chinatown today. The weather was hot and humid and the kids were tired from the great deal of walking. However, the kids had a great time eating at China Town market as well as shopping for souvenir. The tour guide gave very details and interesting information about the history and architectures of ChinaTown which I hope the students will find them interesting as well. I agree with you. Going for LJ is every bit worth taking leave for. -
Great that you enjoyed yrself. Not all PVs get to follow the child’s class. It’s first response first allocated class kinda system.
Anyway, Term 2 has started and I find that time flies. My DD is already so used to TGPS she seems to know every nook and corner of the school already. She is not strong at MT so though there is no assessment so far, I’m just waiting to see which class she gets allocated to in Term 3. Heard that the class allocation is strictly by results.
I signed her up for Berries since Jan to boost her MT. I think she’s drowning as the vocabulary and reading passages are way beyond her to cope. Thought of switching her to EduPlus which has a centre quite near to TGPs. Anyone tried EduPlus before? -
Hi Beauty79,
Indeed, not all PVs get to follow their child's class as for Learning Journey, we usually encountered \"Supply exceed Demand situation\"...
As a LJ coordinator, we would try our best that ensure that every PV has the chance to go with their child's class. If you are interested to join your DD's class for LJ, please indicate your interest to the FT, so that they will have a record and can inform the LJ coordinator.
Also most of the time, the LJ coordinator is racing against time to get PV for the LJ to ensure that every class has a PV as we are working on tight schedule.
We are always looking for ways or process to improve the allocation system, so if you have comment or feedback to improve the system, please feel free to PM me or share via the forum. I am happy to \"soak in\" any suggestions.
Thanks,
Asteebeauty79:
