Indeed tough decision. All parents want to give the best to their children so we understand what you are going through. I think each primary school is a good school but each has its strength. Some schools have strength that you may be interested in while other schools may be more of interest of others. You and your spouse and your child will know which is the best school for your child. Consider the strength you are looking for and your priorities. Then weigh that against the odds of getting into the school. You should be able to short list your first and second choice :-).

Yes, agreed with rejoice that every school has its strength and may your child enjoys his/her 6 years of primary education journey with the final school of choice. Do visit our TGPS Thread and share with us your child journey. Many times, we learnt a lot from different schools practices. As parents, we are also learning everyday with our child.

Rawafish,How about kuo chuan? They had after school care inside the school after upgrading.

I am 1-2km from Kuo Chuan. Today the lady on the phone already confirmed balloting is required. Balloting everywhere this year.. I didn't even know I had a golden pig until recently! Arrghh....

Sorry to bother you rejoice… but I have one question. I know you did put ds on waitlist on that branded school. Can I ask whether you were ever offered a place all these years? Just wanna know what are the chances of getting in after failing to secure a place. … thanks! !

On MOE website today:

" Teck Ghee Primary School

Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing outside 2km of the school."

This year 2C only SC children are eligible. Looks like it is getting competitive. May be there will be more PV going for 2B next year.

Indeed, according to MOE list, many schools are conducting balloting for Phase 2C, really getting very competitive.

lucky we did statuatory declaration. else will need to ballot.

wonder how many kids fight for how many places left.
