        TAURUS:

        Hi,

Mai i know why you not considering RSS student care since is just opp the sch, thot is more convenient :? i'm actually thinking of putting my son there...
        Hi Taurus

Actually we have decided to send my son to RSS SC, but recently I called them to ask a simple question, I was given a very rude response and also the staff gave me the impression that the centre has no system and seems to be in a chaotic state.

At the same time I chanced upon this Little Professor SC and they seem to have a quite impressive credentials. The services offered are also more than RSS, at a higher price.

For RSS, the only advantage I can see, is the short distance from the school. Other than that I am not sure what it is good for. Mayb other parents with their kids already in RSS SC can share?

Hi, I’m new to this forum. Hope to get some advice about PV in RSS. I guess I’m in the Phase 2C category so will need some sound advice as to what I can do/should do?

my girl is with RSS SC now, i do agreed that when i first stepped into RSS SC during dec 2009 school holiday, the centre really looks chaotic, some of the boys were laying on top of the shelves near to the windows, some of them were running n screaming around. at that moment i really hesitated sending my girl there, but after looking at the 'schedule' (45min for computer time, 45min for doing assignment then 45min for school homework) that they have planned for the kids, phew... at least there's something... i think around 11.30 - 11.45 the kids will walk over to the school canteen to have their lunch. the reason why i decided to deposit my girl at RSS SC was the short distance n the slightly late lunch that my girl will have...

Believe it depends on whether the child is independent or suited for student care. Any student care will have naughty boys and girls, same as in school. In fact since start P1 this year, DS came back with mannerism that we know never exists......

Student care are not designed to keep children discipline, so up to the kids to descipline themselves into the SC routine. If up to me and no choice but put DS into SC, I will still go for RSS SC as distance makes alot of differences in terms of time and safety.

Last nite, DS told me CL Oral Test 2day. I told him go and swim your own, no time and dunno how to teach.... 😞

Just to give more infor for considerations:

                    - Lunch for RSS SC have to be taken in the school, and I worried my son will not eat lunch at all and instead go to play. For the LP SC, they have in house cook and lunch will consume in centre before going to school.
                    - LP SC have shower area, which I not so sure in RSS have or not.
                    - LP SC have tution, which at this stage probably wont matters yet.
                    - LP SC do not allow electronic games even during the school holidays(if this is a concern to parents)

Anyway my options are still open, so more feedbacks are welcome 😄

                      Hi,

Just to share my opinions on student care..My DD is in BASC (continue from her childcare) at simei instead of RSS SC. At that point my concern was that lunch was taken at school canteen and was told that shower was not allowed for P1 & 2. Henceforth we dec'd to let her cont'd at her childcare.

Although distance is further compared to RSS SC, at least I felt that her current BASC is less rowdy. A more disciplined environment. I feel that it's important especially during sch holi when she has to spend a full day there.
