Hi, the letter is given out by teacher to student or by post? i didn't rec'd anything last night.

Not all students are involved. Only 30-odd parents recieve by email. That why suspect the list comprises selected \"problem\" kids at RSS. Believe your kids are not involved since you mentioned teachers did not detect unusual behaviours like suspected autism, learning disability etc...

Hi, any mummies here recieved invitation letter from SICS to conduct study on Cognition and Brain Development? DS has attention problem, tink that's why RSS put him on the list.

Wondering is it only all problem kids??? The email list shows familiar parent names like wanxuan, chuah23... Not sure the rest. Can wanxuan and chuah23 share wif us if your kids \"problem\" like mine?

Already email back to say that we may consider only if the test result is kept confidential from all, even from RSS.

        :?:
Yes, I received the email invitation and I suspect that those invited either joined RSS PV program or parents support group.

Generally no complain from my boy's form teacher except careless....so I dun think it is related to behaviour in class..

Omigosh! Tink I have to really get used to seeing Red Marks on DS test papers. If not wrong, is picture sequence. DS ever take back a picture sequence on RSS A4 paper.... 😢

Yes, the outcome will only be used for research. We will generate a statistical report for the school at the end of the study; individual report will also be sent to you and the school. The report shows the cognitive test results, the MRI stuctural/anatomical normality and the parental rating of their child's behaviour such as inattentiveness and hyperactivity. The will be no diagnosis and the report is not meant for diagnosis as it is not a clinical test. All we hope to do is to see if the fetal growth factors such as birth weight and gestational age would affect a child's learning ability and attention.

I think the classes are divided into 2. Some classes go on Thurs and some go on Fri.
