Great to note this forum still alive....

Am thinking of home tuition. DS not receptive enough in group classes. Guess group or individual tuition depends on the kid's character. Some hyperactive kids like mine lost concentration if not 1-to-1 teaching, or very small group size.

Am looking out for home tuition or small group sized tuition. Else probably activity-based learning / enrichment courses. Both EL and CL.

          Hi Existing RSS parents,

Can you share more about RSS? In terms of academic, moral, strengths..etc.
Actually, what do you like about RSS when you enrol your child?
For me, I choose the school cos hubby is an old boy there. πŸ˜‰

Primary reason we are old boy old girl, a waste if didnt use it to our advantage as good school isn't easy to get into. Secondary reasons are plenty but they are not good reasons as they depend on individuals

Neighbourhood school equally good, if we benchmark processes such as academic teaching excellence and moral discipline are on par with good schools, if not better. But because the better students usually go to better schools, proportion of better academic kids are larger than NH schools.

That's why for me, secondary reasons: less risk of bad social influence as DS is hyperactive, playful and tends to get lazy, rest easy that school academic std on par with avg national level, etc.....

Hope I dun shots by arrows :nailbite:

Yo…any idea on what topics will be tested for EL. Just out of curosity, did yr DS tell you the tests or you expect them to write it down on their handbook? Cos my DS did not write these 2 tests and my wife shouted him and I am wondering is she expecting too much from him? Thanks.

[/quote]Yup, Ryan also told me abt mdm rozita going on long leave.
Regarding tuition/ enrichment class, I let my DS attend numberlinks at bishan. The ctr is doing enopi maths. not directly related to the school's teaching. more of enrichment.
