I have just arranged for a trial swimming class for my girl. She started learning from another coach for more than 1.5 years but progress quite slow. Haven't gone for any test.
What do you mean by \"intermediate level\" and any venue in mind? -

The topic \"time\" is not taught yet, they are supposed to learn through e-learning via lead.com. the test on 14 sep is to test how much they knw through e-learning. there's a circular given on this.Hi,
My DD said there's a maths test on next tuesday on topic \"Time\" but when I ask her whether Teacher had taught text book chapter 16 - Time page 84-90, she replied did not teach. There were also no maths workbook worksheets homework given for this one week school holiday.
I would like to check if whether your child has been taught about this Topic - Time and the maths test on 14 Sept 10. Thank you! -

DS missed a test before. Was told the test weightage in total computation is excluded if MC is submitted. Anyway, P1 and P2 progression is guaranteed even if fail. Its only the P3 and above that kids no more \"honeymoon\".
Thanks.highchair:
14/9 - math test on time...
My child was sick and was absent from school ... hence missed the English test. Any idea how are the marks calculated? How does it affect the marks if tests are missed?
But at the end of the year, will the report card still be given?
All the children will still be graded right? -
highchair:
Thanks.

He took swim class in his preschool, but stopped after going to P1.
He can swim, but maybe not to the intermediate level yet...
Yeah, which pool are you thinking of? -

Either Bedok on weekdays or Ang Mo Kio on weekends. We have yet to decide but DS is grumbling for swimming lessons… Easier to join on group swimming, but progress very slow as more than 10 kids…
At the moment, swimming (more like playing) at my sis-in-law condo. That why am thinking of combining with her 2 kids for a private group lessons of 4 - 6 kids. -
The topic "time" is not taught, YET they are supposed to learn through e-learning via lead.com. So you mean P1 children so clever? They do not need to be taught, they can own self learn and sit for test!!! In future, all P1 children can stay at home and learn through e-learning, no need go school to learn. These GENIUS children all learnt through e-learnung and can go sit for school’s tests and exams, so no need to employ TEACHERS anymore … No wonder tuition centres are a BOOMING industry …

Eh? Not too sure get the message right. Though don't tink that is the idea. The circular did mention the rationale for a test on this un-taught topic. Yet I'm skepticalThe topic \"time\" is not taught,,, YET they are supposed to learn through e-learning via lead.com. So you mean P1 children so clever? The debate I heard from fellow parents are also very different and ... please pardon me to say .... interesting. Some parents say its a poor excuse to get parents to spent quality time with kids teaching a simple topic, some say its new innovative way to expose kids towards independent learning, some say its a tactic to ensure kids not to slacken off during holidays etc.
Having say this, kids these days are really not having it easy.....
