That’s good to hear. Hope to see u in school too -
I went on both buddy days… My gal is from 1F…
The prefect Jie Jie have to look after 2 gals, one is my gal & the other is her classmate… Both of the gals queue at different stalls, and the prefect Jie Jie have to run both stalls to look after them… To check out what they buy & how much… Lol… Poor prefect Jie Jie… But she did a good job…
While I saw another prefect Jie Jie have to look after 3 gals… Gosh… Wonder are they short handed or wat… Coz 2 is just enuf for 1 prefect Jie Jie… Hmmm…
Yes, prefect Jie Jie have to bring them wash hand, "chop" place, and queu up for food… After that, toilet time than play time… Lol…
According to my gal, drink water during lesson time is not allow… If really in needs to drink water, have to raise hand up to ask for permission… -
Finally can let go. My gal already have friends n she can take Schoolbus to n fro by herself.
-
Oh wow! Very good buddy! My son’s buddy did not teach him to "chop" Plc first so today he went to buy food with his water bottle… And buddy ask him to eat faster go can go basketball court play catching… Yes, for 2 days… After meal, play catching. Buddy was being nice to keep him occupied but was thinking school could hv done a better job in perhaps briefing the buddy what to do… So that the younger ones can adapt to a proper system for queuing and buying food…
Buddy should stay on with them for these 2 days with parents and parents stay watch instead of teaching their kids their way… -
Think they adapt fast in school. My son is able to finish his food on time. Hope he can do the same next week.

Hi, Ayl. Don’t worry. I think your son can do it. Kids learn things faster. They have to learn it. P1 just their first step of growing up and parents are their support. Nice to meet u and Jejo.

Hi Mummies,
How was your first week of school
?
I felt mentally and emotionally exhausted after 1 week, this weekend feel so tired. I think my girl also felt the same way cos for the 1st time in almost 7 years she actually woke up at 10am on Saturday morning....I think accumulated \"stress\" for her
.
So far she seems to be enjoying herself, looking forward to going to school everyday. But I suspect its only becos this week is orientation week, once all the studying starts she may not be so enthusiatic already.
I have signed her up for her CCA online as well. Any mummies signed up for their kids yet? Wonder when we'll know the result and when their CCA will start...
I also have a big worry on my mind. Not sure if any mummies here share my same problem. My girl is in 1G, her form teacher is also her HCL teacher which means the teacher is chinese-speaking. While my girl is totally \"potato\"....her chinese standard is very very very low cos we are english speaking family at home so don't converse in mandarin. I observed her in class on Friday. The teacher only speaks mandarin to the students (this is during the briefing for the art & craft session for the kids) and my girl can't fully comprehend what the teacher was saying so looked like she quite switch off during class and end up everytime also the last person to take action (eg when teacher ask the girls to line up in front of the class, my girl didn't even realise tat until she saw all the girls in front of the class already and the teacher had to call her. I quite worried about this cos not sure how she's going to follow instructions during lessons and stuff. But yet this is also one of the reasons why i chose to put her in Ai Tong...to immerse her into the chinese culture and environment. I'm so desperate now that I intend to let her have chinese tuition 2 times a week from now on so that she can catch up abit faster (currently she's having tuition at home once a week). What do you think mummies?? Should I be worried about this????? -
Hi babykhoo,
My boy also in 1G. What’s your girl’s name? Think they will adapt fast and learn. Think prob after 1 term then can see if they need tuition.
Wynn, jejo
Nice meeting u all too.
