      hi all,

can i check what is the pace like in the school compared to other school? is it fast pace? what is the typically day like? do anyone stayed at buangkok area (sengkang) have kid going to catholic high primary? is it very far and inconvenient? i dun own a car btw..thanks, it will help in my assessment for the school for my kid..

      Hi
my DS is in P2,i find the pace faster then many sch i know but not too fast for our boys to follow. If u r a SAHM,u can keep a close watch on their weekly spelling n ting xie, good thing i dont have to deal with much homeworks else my poor son wont have chance to play after whole day of sch 😄
I Live in Buangkok,my hub sends him to sch, they leave around 645 but if u dont have a car,be prepared to wait for sch bus at 620am!! thats the time they quote me when we had our orientation,he got home around 3pm!! I stopped the sch bus after 2 months as he just spent too much time on sch bus and too hungry by the time he's hm...I decided to take bus 88 to fetch him everyday plus extra motivation to do well for my driving lessons n test...so after i got my license,im now he's personal chauffer an d we are home by 230 after lunch in sch :rahrah:

hi: my family is relocating back to sgp from overseas, and my boy will be in the P1 class beginning next month. i plan to drive him to/from home daily. i've read here the best place to drop him off without much traffic (pemimpin gate :). how about pick up at 1.45pm after school dismissal? can i know the best way to pick my boy? is there any pick up points?

        Hi nukewind
drop off yes Peminmin gate is the best as for collection, most park at MSCP next to sch and wait at the side gate, guard will open gate at 140..we relocate back from Germany b4 my DS reg for P1 🙂 you?

          Hi all,

My son will be P1 next year, just to check if they required to bring alot of books to school, roughly how heavy will the schoolbag be?

Also they required wear white or black shoes?

White shoes with Cat High socks.

As for bags… to me, they are rather heavy… and seems to get worse as they grow older. In P1, the boys can leave some books under the table. From P3 onwards, the boys are given lockers. Somehow my son doesn’t use this facility and carries all his books every day. Although he packs his books according to the time table, almost all the major subjects are covered every day. On top of that, must bring a storybook everyday for quiet reading in the morning. The Cat High art bag is also bulky.

My P3 school bag is heavy simply because he doesn’t like to pack according to his time table. But he only needs to carry it from drop-off to class, class to school bus so I feel its no problem.

Mine also… ha! In general it’s good to get a strong dark-colored bag as they hide stains better. Also better to get a water-proof bag as the tendency of spillage from water bottles is very high esp when the water bottles and bags are all left on the floor.

I just look for bags shorter in length but still big enough for A4 size files. My boy is very small too. Was only 105cm at P1. Those Ergonomic bags are a little too heavy for him.
