Do you feel that they have quite a bit of home work to do every day?

Thinking of giving feedback to the teachers during the upcoming PTM.
Last week my DD was given tons of homework the day before her spelling and we were scrambling to finish the work and preparing for spelling.

Other than that I think my DD enjoys school.

My DD is quite ok with her homework. Sometimes, she finishes them in school after her cca and while waiting for the school bus. Not much problem.

It depends on where you stay. If you DD is taking a 40 seater, it is about $65 per month.

The bus fees, as one poster said above, depends on your distance from the school and the kind of bus your child takes. We pay about $70 per month.

I understand that CHIJ have quite many ECA in which have to stay back after school & also defintely on Friday the school would ends at 3.30pm.


I just would want to find out the school is strong in what ECA so that next time can use it in a form of DSA. Does the school affiliated to St Theresa Convent? PSLE can have affiliated up to 180 pts to go in?

Not sure, but I think it is not enough. I googled, and http://jumpstarttutors.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Cut-Off-Points-for-Express-Stream.jpg.

It shows 2010 cut-off point for Express Stream in CHIJ St Theresa's was 230.

Perhaps you may get more recent info in the Secondary Schools sub-forum.

I had heard that CHIJ (Kellock) had removed the affilation for the kids to enter St Theresa Convent. Meaning that cannot have any discounted points during PSLE.

Wonder this would affect which batch of students in the current school.
Anyone can share?
