I can't comment whether it is lowering standard unless the school can show us the figures of pass and fail.

I like the surpise English spelling dictiation gave alternate week for spelling. From there, i know how powerful is my boy's English.

I agree with you on the suprise dictation that it serves as a guage. Luckily,they did no do this for MT, otherwise.....my DS will fail miserably. As it is he cant cope ...

I don't know whether the school has lowered its standard on the tests, but I do know that it has raised its standard when it comes to daily assignments.

I wish the MT can has suprise dictation too... :lol: ...This will make the kid learn hard on the langauge. :lol: :lol:

I checked with my boy and he told me teacher did not give out the MT spelling list.Guess it will give out to them when school starts.personal prefer to have it early so I can make him learn during the school holiday.

Actually hope the English & Chinese Spelling can be put on every Monday so that the kids have sufficient time to learn during the weekend. For parent we can also use it to supervise.


Understand that there is spelling on Friday. Our DS or DD Thu go home then the nexy morning have to get up early on Friday. If have spelling sure very blur blur. :x
